The super rude person in charge. Unfortunately my first time in the restaurant and what an experience from her. They should change from such a monster.

Really Nice Restaurant overall.??

BOMB tasting pupusas... the lady cooking is awesome. The lady behind the register... well she should get up off her phone and HELP the cook because while the cook lady is busting her a** and getting backup by work the register lady is chilling on her phone. I personally gave the cook a tip for all her hard work that I saw while I ate.

What you should know is the family who owns this restaurant and the people who work here are hardworking folks. This has been around since the 1980s. A staple in Oakland. I engaged the owner in conversation, who was staffing the front and cooking. She is very nice and cares about the food she makes! I had 3 pupusas: bean and spinach, chicken, pork. They were fantastic. I opted for no cheese due to a dairy allergy. I also had the platanos fritos with frijol (black bean dip). The one criticism I would share is that the slaw that comes with the pupusas had too much liquid. What this actually means is, while the portion is enough for 3 pupusas, I didn't get that full portion size because 1/4 of the container was liquid. Will come back to try the agua frescas!

Small little hole in the wall spot. But my ohhhh myyy the pupusas are delicious. Freshly made melty goodness made right in front of you, you are greeted by a lovely wiser lady, shows you she knows her stuff. The pupusas are so flavorful and savory makes my mouth water just to think about it. The picadillo is fresh and crunchy paired with their red medium heat sauce it's so delicious. Not to mention super affordable, I ordered 2 pupusas revueltas. Must try spot if you like traditional Salvadoran food.

The pupusas here are delicious. We ordered one of each flavor and their chicken soup as well. Everything was wonderfully made. The service is a little slow but the food is definitely worth the wait.

Bad service, rude waiter, they ripped us off and the food was nasty. The place is dirty as well. DO NOT GO HERE!
