Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken

I’ve gone to this rodeo twice. Consistently, the customer service is not good. Honestly, Keith Lee wouldn’t have gotten pass the customer service to try the food. Food always takes longer than 10 minutes no matter what. That ice water bout to be a ten minute wait!The food is hot and fresh but by then you’re already thinking about other fried chicken place to try.I’m currently waiting for the rest of my order. Maybe in the next ten minutes it’ll be ready. The first ten minutes already passed.Update, paid for the shrimp that didn’t come with my order . The last time I come here. Save your money and eat somewhere else .

Disgusting small shop with oddly spiced chicken. Definitely not southern fried chicken. Both times the skin was hard and tasted weird. Not salty or peppery. Just weird. You’re better off getting fast food from kfc than you are here.They use cheap meat and cheap products on their foods. Just gross all around.

Ordered online. Online ordering systems don't have everything they offer for some reason. Different online platforms offer different, limited items. The dessert display had a range of desserts, each slice packed in plastic. I got the 7up pound cake, which was $5.50. It tasted buttery and on the denser side. Couldn't tell that it was 7up cake, just that it was pound cake or imo, butter cake. Lol.Ordered well in advance, estimated time it was ready, it wasn't. Still had to wait a good 10 more minutes, so a total of about 30 minutes. It didn't seem busy at all. I wonder if they start frying when you actually arrive? ?The batter on the shrimp was on the peppery, spicy side. Shrimp was plump and crispy on the outside. Chicken was juicy and on the plain side, but that's where the hot sauce comes in. Both were very well fried and juicy. The collard greens were very SPICY, so unfortunately, I could only have one bite. All in all, if the batter had some onion, garlic, paprika and a bit of cayenne powder, it'd be bomb. If it did, I probably would come here all the time. Which wouldn't be a good thing lol so maybe, that's a good thing.Warning - your car will smell like fried chicken for at least 2 days! Lol

Amazing customer service. I like the cook on the fish and chicken. I personally don't like big pieces of chicken, so I won't order the chicken again but the fish was seasoned nicely the sides are a bit spicy if you like spice get them. I tried the red beans and rice and greens..the Mac was a waste of my money but everything is reasonably priced.

I ordered the fish and chicken straps. Both were over cooked and dried out. I specifically asked for lightly crispy. The staff were very hesitant to honor my request for a refund. I would have taken something different but my taste was over it after the light confrontation. The flavors were there it was just over cooked.

I’m giving a 4 star because of the side dishes but when it come to that fish and shrimp delicious best in Oakland it’s fresh crispy and flavorful! I always get the seafood basket with French fries ? do not get the side dishes only French fries lol

The chicken was extremely salty. Macaroni and cheese was well. I don’t even know what to say about that. I ordered the gumbo meal didn’t even receive my gumbo honestly, all around just terrible terrible experience. Didn’t even want to leave the one star I will not recommend this restaurant. It is a terrible experience all around and the chicken head so much damn salt and still dizzy.

Friendly staff. Knowledgeable with suggestions should you not be sure of what you want.But the food is, well I'll just say that it speaks for itself.Alligator, shrimp, fish (Basa) and of course chicken.You gotta come try this.Well it's been a few years since I've eaten here. But I must say I was impressed very friendly staff and the food was awesome

I ordered gumbo an this is what I got not to mention I even called the actual restaurant to make sure my order would be right before I placed a DoorDash order ? there is nothing but a bunch of kids answering the phone without a supervisor present. Horrible food an service and I do NOT recommend this place, the greens has no flavor the chicken is dry an very much unseasoned ugh gross ?

The chicken I ordered was clearly cooked with old grease. While waiting for my order I asked to use the restroom. I was told it was out of order. Then a few minutes later. A guy came out of the restroom. I asked the person who took my order. Why did she deny me! Then she told me, with a attitude. Here's the key use it at my own risk. I also asked why did you let him in the restroom. Her response was he is my brother. If I wasn't hungry and still needed to use the restroom. I would have cancelled my order, and went elsewhere.

Fish is ok too spicy no tarter sauce napkins or fork so I can eat my mashed potatoes

Delicious, crispy, and fresh! But be prepared for a bit of a wait.We came by for takeout on a Monday evening and happened to beat any dinner rush for the day when we arrived at 6:30pm. There's some parking along the main street but it can get a bit narrow if you end up having to park in the back neighborhoods.Their store is clean and spacious, and the employee who assisted us to order at the checkout was very kind and professional. My husband and I ended up ordering a French Quarter Combo ($16.50 pre-tax) to share. It comes with 2 fish, 3 shrimp, 2 chicken pieces (either wings or drumsticks- we chose drums), and a side of your choice (we ordered mac & cheese).Other customers started coming in as well, and soon we were all patiently waiting for our orders. Unfortunately, the wait did end up taking 20-25min. for us. We ended up watching a good amount of TV playing in the store during this time.Finally, they called our number and we were presented with a glorious-smelling bag of fresh goodies. We requested hot sauce and tartar, and were on our way home to chow down. (They ended up providing only 1 fork and 1 spoon for the 2 of us, so do ask for more if you have multiple people sharing!)The chicken was wonderfully juicy and tender, and EVERYTHING was fried crispy and fresh. Hot sauce was a great complement for the chicken- theirs appears to be a mild mix based off Tapatio or Cholula, and had a bit of nice acidity to it. We found the fish and mac & cheese to be a bit too flavorful for our liking (I think they add Lawry's seasoning salt to the mac, which makes it HELLA salty), but the textures of everything was bang on. We got an additional surprise when we opened our bag- they'd thrown in an additional side of mashed potato & gravy! It was solid and a very welcome counter to the saltiness of the other dishes.We'd recommend ordering well in advance in the future (over the phone or online). Some flavors were also MUCH saltier than we'd have preferred (and I actually usually like my dishes on the salty side!). But overall, we were happy to have tried this place out and really appreciated their service and how fresh all the food is cooked to order. They sure know how to deep fry!
