Food is not quality and location is worn down and dirty.

Allows violent dogs on property. The owner of the restaurant, and the dog honors themselves. Do nothing to remedy the issue.
I am an ex vegan but trying to take the meatless option when available these days. To completely honest I didn't notice to much of a difference from beef patties. Plus great fries.
Big yum. Always hits. Love the the patio/beer garden.
Even thought the lines here can get extremely long, the smash burgers here are so damn good I still come once a week, and will still more than 45 minutes if I screw up and go at the wrong time. IMO, it's the best burger in Oakland! Absolutely delicious in every dimension a burger can be measured by, especially by smash burger standards. The laces and crisp is next level, juicy as hell, perfectly seasoned, topping perfectly complimented the meat, bun is soft airy and delicious. I get a double every time! Lovelys is a must try!
Great hot chicken sandwich and Fries. Went well with the beer selections next door.
Great place to get a beer and food. Burger was 9/10, heavy on sauce and packed with flavor, solid fries too. Parking can be tricky, and it can get busy. Come visit!

Directly connected to Two Pitchers, Lovely's has a fine selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian options for appetites both large and small. Generous fish portions that were perfectly crisp, drive in double smash burger was flavorful and balanced, hot chicken thigh sandwich had a good heat and went well with the slaw. Highly suggest ordering here first before getting your drink order in at Two Pitchers next door!
Parking: Variety of parking nearby, would recommend avoiding the paid lot immediately adjacent - clock was set earlier by twenty minutes to squeeze a free more dollars out of us.

The food wasn't bad. The atmosphere was perfect. The wait was absolutely crazy. We waited 45 min just to place our order. As a side note, the parking lot o. The corner, someone moved my motorcycle and parked in my space. They moved my bike in front of someone elses car. My helmet got stolen. If you ride, don't leave anything. Lock your bars and bar your wheels. It's not the restaurants fault.

I’m picky. But loved it here. I got the Chicago dog. Perfectly cooked, fresh tomatoes, onions, pickle, pepper on top - comes with a side of fries which were equally great and tasted hand cut. I assumed this place would be low quality or greasy spoon because of the fair price. I love it when I’m wrong about things like that. Will definitely come back on a fair weather day with friends. I recommend going closer to their opening hours to avoid the lines.

The Fishwich and corn fritters are awesome. I recommend them over the burgers and fries.
Vegetarian options: Impossible burger patties and Plonts vegan cheese available.

Right there, bigger than next week just standing in line at Lovely's waiting for the best damn chicken sandwich in the city is none other than Elinor Rigby and her lovely companion Rita, the meter maid.
Well, I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to eavesdrop on those two, that's for sure! I squeezed in right behind them and Man-O-Man did I get the gossip! It was great ...but not as great as the Fried Chicken Sandwiches..they were Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆
(And I’m a vegetarian).
Do you like supporting a thoughtful owner (who puts themselves into their craft)?
Personally, I think “being the change we want to see” means doing just that. Focusing solely on the price and quality of a product can lead to pretty disastrous outcomes. The rub is that we so rarely know who it is that’s making our products / taking our money.
Fortunately you need not compromise on quality or integrity here.
Long story short: I sold a bed on Craigslist. I met the man in charge. He’s low-key considerate, quietly radiating a quality that speaks well of his intentionality. I’ve tried the food with a large group of discerning folks, and everyone agreed that it was excellent. And when you consider the price, it’s silly.
This business refuses to charge the prices they could because they are the change they want to see.
Thank you Lovely’s.

TL;DR = GO NOW. I moved in just under two weeks ago and I've been three times already.
Everything here is amozing but to illistrate the artistry here, I'm going to describe one thing, The Western Burger. This may have been the best burger I've ever had. The barbeque sauce had more spice than sweet with a flavor profile that was complex yet not overpowering to the rest of the burger. The meat and the cheese were merged together somehow in some sort of magical marrige of umami synergy that cannot be adequately described, only experienced. The onion ring on this burger tasted as if it was breaded with crushed krispy kreme donuts. I don't understand the culinary wizardry used to accomplish this feat but, I worship it.
I rarely truly appreciate the vegtibles on my burgers however, I have saved the best for last. The tomatoes were so red I couldn't look away. They appeared as though they were either grown in a private garden which is lit only by rainbows and fertilized by unicorn poo OR they were dyed with the blood of the innocent. I truly don't care which.
As far as other factors, I loved the space. it's an indoor/outdoor beer garden frequented by a ton of locals and other interesting people of all shapes and sizes. The bartenders are all pleasently indifferent to the point of appearing stoned and I love them too.
This was just a great experience all around. Take the exit, make the trip, you'll thank me.
