First time stoping by here yesterday had the drive thru and fries and felt really sick all day after and had stomach issues starting that night and to this morning. This is the third review in a week on here of people getting sick. That alone is pretty worrying to me. HARD PASS ON THIS ONE GUYS!!!

Smash burger was great! But the fries are pretty mediocre.

Legit smash burgers! They're very delicious, well prepared and have great portions. The line may deter folks however, it goes fast as does receiving the food. I think their prices are reasonable for the quality of the service and food. The seating options are varied : sit outside where there's hella tables or inside with choices of the bar, tables or couches. The burger is so tasty that I came back a second day to bring my partner; legit smash burgers. They're juicy but still have the crispy edges with the melty cheese. The fish & chips are great, flaky fresh fish in a crispy batter. The sauces are all to die for: tartar, ranch, hot sauce, special sauce. Their sauces are worth the price and get some for the fries and fritters.I cannot recommend this place enough. It's Lovely's.

Kinda bummed to give this place such a low rating because the food tasted great, the beer was solid, and the atmosphere was cool. However, one of their “special” sauces definitely gave me and some others in my party food poisoning. Had a pretty rough weekend because of it so I wouldn’t recommend coming to lovely’s.

Ate here at about 8:30pm on Wednesday, 3/20. Three of us all ordered different styles of burgers and fries with a few different dipping sauces. Everyone ended up with food poisoning that hit us about 36 hours later on Friday afternoon. We had fevers, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, headaches, and muscle aches. It's now Sunday afternoon and I'm just starting to feel back to normal. Never eating here again — Lovely's not so lovely.

If a McDonald's ad tasted as good as it looked, this place would be it.Got here early because a line tends to form. I ordered the OG with double meat and I was impressed. The smash meat and the soft potato bun were high quality. Each bite was so satisfying with the sauce, pickle, and bun. The fries were good too. Just salty enough.I liked the ambience and access to beer. Bring a light jacket for the evening since you'll be in between the tall buildings. I left at 5p so I don't know if they pull out heaters in the evening.First time here so 4 stars. I really wanted to try their fishwich but they didn't have any in stock the day I ate there.I'll come back for the fishwich.

The burgers and hot chicken sandwich are simply delicious. And both go great with the $3 lager next door. Outdoor space is very communal. Sometimes the line is a little slow, but then I grab a beer while we wait. It’s one of my favorite spots in town.Vegetarian options: Impossible burgersDietary restrictions: Gluten free buns

I don't care if it's literally a burger that cures all your ills and more. I stood in line at what I thought would be a low demand time like 9 PM, and didn't move in line for at least 20 minutes if not more. It's a fucking hamburger how hard could it be. Go home or go to in n out for the same thing.

i paid for 2 extra sauces, $1 each , got none ... just ketchup.. Also paid $1 for a to go box... $3 extra for nothing. $20 burger and fries? With none of the sauce you charged me for ... never again.

Located next to a beer spot, it is a great place to get a burger while having a drink. Plenty of seating and quick turn around for your food. Since we sat in the patio, we were first to line up when they opened. Not sure if the customers from the beer spot decided to get a burger while having a drink but the line grew very quickly. We got the original fried onion burger. It was fresh but a little oily. I also was not a fan of the sesame bun and would have preferred a regular bun. Ambiance is loud since it's next to a beer spot and it is take out only.

Utterly disappointing. read all the rave reviews on these burgers but should've known better when it came down to overrated hipster-gentrified fare. a mushy bun, a flattened patty lacking flavor (what's with this smash burger hysteria and what's wrong with regular hamburger patties?), topped with more mustard slathered on it than any hot dog in recent memory and...benches dangerously sliding upward while diners sit on its edges, all in one meal I'd hope that wouldve made the commute from the other side of the Bay to catch a live show worth it. and guess what? a couple of folks sitting on aforementioned bench fell over after getting tossed! read about those hazardous benches in a google review...thank goodness i remembered to avoid sitting on them. the fries were a pathetic batch of well-fried, well-seasoned potato shards that probably averaged less than an inch each yet were barely enjoyable to eat. one can even make a strong case that the burger was barely on par with a decent fast food iteration. also, this place is more of an antiseptic, less fun Zeitgeist (in the SF Mission), with a huge condo complex taking up an entire side of the courtyard. what an absolute letdown. at least the brewery next door had some good beers and a better atmosphere.

Now that the sun is starting to come back out, there's nothing better than a drive-in burger, some soft serve, and a radler! It's attached to Two Pitchers so you get plenty of outdoor space to enjoy a bite. I discovered Lovely's through the Oakland Burger Tour and have been back many times since. The burgers here always come out fresh and the soft serve is perfectly nostalgic. Great prices, great service.
