Lots of vegetarian small plate options! Could use a few more vegetarian-friendly entrees. But overall everything I had was amazing!!

We had a wonderful meal and a lovely waitress. The only issue was that it was so loud in this restaurant that we had to strain to hear each other speak. Aside from that great experience.

It was our first time at Lucuma, and we plan to go again. The service and food were great, and we were accommodated with cheerfulness and respect. Thank you! It's a bit too loud for me as I am sensitive to the music and my wife is hearing-impaired. So this made it difficult to communicate. Everyone at the restaurant seemed like they were having a good time. It was our Anniversary, and we were provided with a comp. dessert plus glasses of champagne. Very classy! The broccolini was exceptional, and my wife's steak got rave reviews from her. The menu is extensive and I will choose other entrees next time. We were seated on time and liked our table and the ambiance of the restaurant. ¡Gracias! Robert

Food and cocktails were phenomenal!! Absolutely delicious! Small space but the decor is cute, bar is beautiful, service was fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

Four of us had an early NYE dinner and loved everything about Lucuma! Food and drinks were wonderful and service was outstanding! I highly recommend the ginger pisco sour, any ceviche, empanadas. We had many courses—those who were able ate dessert and raved about the 3 that were chosen. I can't wait to return! It's a cozy spot—I suggest making reservations well in advance. Two thumbs up for Lucuma.

I've been here a few times now, and unfortunately, the food quality has gone down since the first time I went. The service was great and the cocktail I had was delicious, but the as the courses of food came out, nothing was hitting the spot. From the cold and sometimes soggy fried plantains, to the bland ceviche and shredded chicken dishes, nothing was standing out. The crispy shrimp was tasty, and the fried cheese filled wontons were just ok. I want to like this place more, but not sure I will be returning.

Lucuma is excellent in every way. The food is always delicious and interesting. The service is careful and pleasant. The atmosphere is great. Beautiful decor and easy to hear one another. The ceviche is very tasty. The tequenitos were great and the empanadas were also delicious and flavorful. The dessert was on fire - really - and lovely and gooey and sweet. One of the best restaurants in Oakland. In our top 3! Lisbeth gave us a warm welcome and Vanda gave us terrific service.

Food is fantastic! And cocktails both unusual and delicious! Service very attentive, including host checking in on us after the meal. Will definitely return!

We had a great lunch the day after Xmas, met up with friends from out of town. Great pisco sours, and every shareable plate we ordered was delicious and enjoyed by our group of four. We loved the ahi ceviche with plantain chips, the cheese wontons with passionfruit, the octopus with lime olive sauce and avocado, and the sea scallops. Great place, will come back again.

The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting on a rainy night. The food and drinks were delicious, especially the ceviches and the pisco sours. We made the mistake of going with friends we wanted to talk with. The music and conversations taking place around us made it too hard to talk without shouting. Once we stepped outside, I relished the silence.

Small, attractive decor, friendly competent service, delicious food. We especially liked the hongos (mushrooms) and coconut shrimp appetizers. Peruvian food is often spicy, but they definitely have mild options. Everybody I know likes it. Reserve in advance for dinner; they fill up fast.

The food is special, often a surprising twist on something you think you know—and it always turns out to be a pleasant surprise. The unique and warm ambiance is an added bonus, they just hit the mark with this one. Highly and gladly recommend.
