My pizza was so burnt the crust on half of it was basically charcoal and the flavor was not even great for a 42 dollar pizza. 50 after tip and tax. Doubt ill ever return. It was a to go order. Least it was warm.

For Halloween 2024 we chose Mama's Boy to feed us. Bad choice. Ordered the pizzas at noon for a 4:30 pm pickup. Arrived at 4:30 to pick up and was told 35 min. I grabbed a slice and waited. Clearly they had more orders than they could handle, but I trusted their 35 min wait time. 50 min later I was told 40 more minutes. I cancelled the order. I saw many people cancel their orders about the time I left as everyone was being told 40+ min wait time. They failed at customer service when they lied to my face. They failed at using technology since clearly they had many more orders than they could possibly fill and many seem to have come from online. Get it together!

Tasty late night pizza spot in downtown Oakland. One slice pizza with flavorful options and filling large size. Service is quick and the upstairs seating is cute for end of a night out. Their Burrata slice has got to be the first one you try if you've never been here. All the other options are also very worth it!

I found a box of Mama’s Boy at a house party and shoved a slice in my mouth. Then, I wouldn’t shut up about how I had just discovered the best pizza in the east bay. It was fully cold when I tasted this slice, and it still blew my mind if that tells you anything. MAMA’S BOY RULES!!!!!!!

This is my favorite place in Oakland. The pizza is comparative to a New York slice coming from someone born and raised on NY pizza. The crust is thin and the cheese is fresh. The mikes hot honey is a great addition to the burrata slice. The staff is very friendly and the upstairs seating has a nice view and cozy feel. I’ve been coming here a couple times a week for 6 months. It’s addictive!

This is my first time here. I came with my kids. The cashier who seems to me like the owner was awesome. He was very helpful with suggesting what I should get. The price is more than fair. It fed 2 adults and 4 kids. It was so good I had to order a pie to go as well. They have a great upstairs seating with tv and as well downstairs or patio too. I would highly recommend everyone to try here. It's clean, affordable and well worth it. Will be back when I'm around this area. Oh I love their curst it's cooked to perfection???
Terrible customer service on a to go order I placed more than a week ago. I arrived to pick up my large pizza and chopped salad and was told that they didn’t have salads in stock. Disappointing, but it happens. The employee told me that the manager would issue a refund for the item that I didn’t receive. The next day, I still didn’t see a refund on my account, so I made the walk back to the restaurant. They assured me they would make the refund. A couple days later, I called, as there was still no refund. I left my number for the manager, Jose, and asked for him to call or text and confirm the refund.
After a 10 days of no response, I posted a review, rather than issue a charge back. The manager responded to the review to have me contact the restaurant, so I took the review down. I contacted the restaurant twice via email, and they ghosted me. This was two months ago. Seems absurd that they would do this over a salad....or that I would still be doing this over a salad...but come on, as a loyal customer it should be simple enough to just issue a refund for an item I didn't receive. Buyer beware...
