After being told it’d be over an hour wait at Brenda’s with no reservation, my friend and I decided to walk cross the street and give this place a try, and let me tell ya, it’s definitely Brenda’s a run for their money. We were sat right away. I enjoyed the charm and service. I like that you can tell it’s been at this location for a long time. The catfish and grits were delicious. Great seasonal pancakes. Good coffee. Will definitely recommend and be back when visiting!

Excellent service, food was great, and no attitude like Brenda's across the street. I actually felt like I belong here and very affordable! Definitely going to start eating lunch here until I'm done working in Oakland.

My wife and I had a great experience at this diner. We had the old fashioned breakfast and the breakfast burrito. To drink we had hot chocolate, lemonade, and coffee and everything was delicious! I especially loved that the lemonade was freshly squeezed. The entire meal was very affordable, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting.
