Really cool spot for foodies in the Bay Area. There were a number of different offerings but we were in treat mode. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the Persian rice pudding very light subtly sweet with hints of cardamon and saffron. Chocolate chip cookies were good not great--you have to come hard with chocolate chip cookies in my opinion. They were crisp and soft but missing a little saltiness to balance the sweet. I enjoyed the tiramisu also and my daughter liked the lemon cheesecake. Recommend the morning bun also!

We've dropped into Market Hall Bakery a couple times now for a weekend tasty treat. I adore that the space is fairly open, and has a few tables outside for seating. The honey usually gets a loaded focaccia and I tend to choose the flaky chicken or beef turnovers, all of which we get heated up. I personally like the spicy beef just a little bit better, however the flavor of the dough does come out a bit more in the chicken. The service has always been helpful and prompt, and the entire set-up is fantastic for a chill weekend morning. All in all, we'll definitely return.

This bakery never disappoints. My most recent visit, I came hoping to get a slice of Princess cake. There were no more in the display case but I asked anyways and they were so kind to cut a new cake so I can order my slice. It really made my day! They also have amazing crispy chocolate chip cookies.

I just got an almond croissant. I was convinced they’d given me a plain croissant. With every bite, I hoped I would encounter some almond paste. Such as when you buy a ham sandwich, you expect there to be ham on it. I went back to let them know about the quality control of this almond croissant that had some powdered sugar and almond on top , but no paste inside. the cashier refused to refund me or give me another one on the off chance that I got a bum almond croissant. The quality of the product and the customer service was unfortunately disappointing. I will not be returning. In the grand scheme of things it’s really not that big a deal, and if you have the impulse to have an almond croissant, I would not buy one from Market Hall.

There is no pride in their product by their staff: I was sold items way past their prime at their premium price. If an item has passed its enjoyable time, it should be pulled, not sold.

Excellent baked goods, great for pairing with a coffee outing and taking home. One thing I didn't care for is that one of the people working the register's mood visibly soured giving me a look and no verbal response after I gave a nice thank you but didn't leave a tip for the less than $5 order that didn't involve any special service. The customers shouldn't be nicer than the staff.

I had the passionfruit and lemon cheesecake and it was absolutely DIVINE! The flavor had a perfect balance of sweet and tart. You could actually taste the passionfruit and the lemon was subtle enough to not be overpowering. The texture was rich and creamy. It was $4.95 for a slice but the slice was very dense and filling so I found the pricing reasonable. I can’t wait to try other treats!

The worst cupcakes and pastries I have EVER had. The service was fast.

I love their Brazilian Cheese bread and their chicken and beef turnovers!

I love market hall, but the price gouging is getting a bit out of hand.

Best tasting croissant I have ever eaten! The proscuitto & gruyere is to die for. I have to try the Brazilian cheese bread.

Best place for hand pies, without a doubt! Call them, pastries, empanadas, or turnovers, whichever way you call them there's simply delicious. And while you're at it, stop by to pick up the princess cake. One of my favorite bakeries.!

The red pepper and pesto focaccia is amazing! The dough is super soft inside but crispy outside, and the topping is very generous! It is better than places in Little Italy in north beach.

Everything I've tried has been delicious. I especially recommend the pizza, cheese bread and scones

Came here looking for a sweet treat while in the Oakland area. We tried the vanilla cupcake and the butterscotch pudding. The vanilla cupcake was not very good. It was way to dense and the frosting was so hard it hurt my teeth to bite into it. The butterscotch pudding, however, was really really good. I had a few bites and it was packed with flavor but could easily become too much if I had more. Definitely will come back again for the pudding!
