The tomboy-ish way we decorate this cake provides the perfect ratio of cake-to-frosting in every bite. We start with layers of our Double Chocolate Cake which is made with melted 70% Guittard chocolate and raw Scharffen Berger cocoa powder for a super-moist bittersweet flavor. Our buttercream is made the European way, starting with Italian meringue and adding organic Straus butter. The result is luxuriously smooth and not too sweet. In this raspberry version, the pretty pink color is 100% natural and is as delicious as it looks.

Miette is a confectionery heaven. I true candy shop with delicious cakes, tarts, cookies, and confections. And they had samples of their delish Gingerbread. Everyone who works at Miette is so sweet and so helpful. Their cupcakes with Italian meringue are always so delicious. And I wish I had more celebrations in my life so I had more excuses to get their cakes!

My husband just kept repeating “mmmm” while eating the chocolate chip cookie I bought him from here. I tried it, and the chocolate was bittersweet and delicious. I got macarons and they were PERFECT. I’ll be returning to try more of their treats soon, for sure.Plus one for being easy to get to, having free parking, and the person behind the counter being polite!

Cute little bakery that also has some imported and housemade confections. If you have never been before, it is on the first floor to the right of the bank. The sign on the building says "batch pastries" and only the one hanging from the front glass under the awning references "miette".
