What a lovely place! Never disappoints, usually impresses (get the broiled cheeks, or any roll.) All around great people and a staple of the community imho!
Only one prob — the to-go containers for soup leak and don’t do great with heat. Pretty much just saying this because I’ve had to work with the same brand and they’re awful lol. Will never stop getting take-out here, but the standard one might be a good move.

Good spot on Grand. Mijori has been putting out solid bentos and sushi/maki rolls for years. The beef teriyaki and gyoza lunch set has been a lunch staple in this family as well as the karai tuna roll. Lunch can get extremely busy at peak times but you can get in and out quickly. The staff works hard and has been together for awhile now. Parking around Grand/Lakeshore can be tight but eventually something pops.

Mijori has been my go to restaurant since 1989 when I first moved into this neighborhood. The staff is friendly and welcoming and goes out of their way to make you feel part of their family. They’re only open on days when the local fish markets are selling M-Sa and the sushi is fresh fresh FRESH! Their prices are reasonable, their sushi chefs exemplary and I always enjoy myself fully when I visit. I engage in conversation with Jimmy- master chef in residence - and amazingly talented individual. I will be happy to return here in the future and highly recommend you come for the cuisine!
Vegetarian options: I like that they have an all veggie bento box for those times when I don’t feel like eating fish.

The atmosphere has improved because they used to play a Dido CD on repeat, but now they run a mix station. I never went there for the music, I always go for the fish. We have such a good time eating with the friendly staff at Mijori that my girlfriend will not eat sushi anywhere else.
