The Vietnamese spring rolls with shrimp are the best I’ve ever had! The shrimp taste incredibly fresh, and the vermicelli noodles perfectly complement the other flavors without overwhelming them. The peanut sauce has an ideal consistency that makes dipping effortless and delicious.
I also LOVE the shrimp salad!!!
The food is sooo delicious! Become a big fan for this grab and go place! Also, the owner, Khahn, is so talented and she is so kind!
Really love this place! The fried banana has me in a chokehold. I crave it weekly and it’s reminiscent of something you’d eat at a night market is SE Asia.
The service is always amazing. I’ve also had the sandwiches, the ginger wellness shot, iced tea, garlic noodles and chicken wings.
What a great addition to Piedmont!
The food is tasty but expensive. However, I realize I’m not their demo, it’s Piedmont residents -white, upper, upper class folks. The food is tasty but again, it’s super expensive for the portions. Not going back because I’m Viet, not from Piedmont, and also can get all if not all of their items at Cam Huong in east Oakland. Support local tho! From the same folks who own Bacogai, also one of the most expensive Viet places in the east bay.
For context: I got their crab Sando, their fried catfish rolls with banh hoi noodles. I also got an order of their hot item: imperial rolls. The catfish rolls were bomb but again I just can’t rationalize spending $17 on 2 rolls. That’s crayyy in any other viet place.
Mon Superette is a wonderful vignette into Vietnamese cuisine in the format of a charming convini-styled restaurant where you can get great quality and delicious food to-go or even enjoy in the window-side nook if you’re lucky to be in the area. The crab sandwiches are divine as they’re crispy, have great fresh flavor, and the bread is perfectly fluffy. Also, the owner Khánh was so informative and engaging as she shared the ethnic roots of her family’s cooking behind the food. Of particular note, if you have been to Japan and have enjoyed the wonders of the aforementioned convini-lifestyle (or other Asian countries for that matter) then you will be pleased to know these egg sandwiches are probably the best American option I’ve had to this date. They’re wonderfully light and have that perfect egg-to-mayo ratio that I’ve missed since returning from Tokyo. Apparently Khánh brought together the influence of having lived in Japan to this setup and it’s such a refreshing take on grab-and-go eateries. The garlic noodles and vermicelli salad (Bún) are must haves. Seriously. You need to try these. I think this is probably my favorite garlic noodles to date as they’re not overpowering or oily but just perfectly balanced for that satisfying savory flavor. They have hot food options in addition to the cold fridge grab-and-go so if you’re there, try everything out. I know I have enjoyed it and will be back to do just that.
Everything tasted fresh here. Friendly staff Khanh explained the ingredients and differences in their Vietnamese cuisine. Very quick service for freshly cooked chicken wings and garlic noodles. Their garlic noodles was amazing. So tasty!!!! Glad one of the customers recommended it when I was waiting for the imperial roll. Forgot to take picture of it until the last bite. The shrimp spring roll was refreshing with tasty dipping sauce. Not the normal peanut sauce, it’s a lot more savory with lighter texture. The beef vermicelli rice noodle was also excellent. Their peach ice tea and Thai green milk tea were not too sweet with fragrant tea flavors. Will be back to try their fried banana next time.
I got the chicken curry & it was so yummy!! The rice was cooked perfectly and the curry had great flavor with a hint of spice. I’ll have to come back!
Love this place ! Really good food and super friendly staff !
The fried banana is delicious!
Finally stopped in today and got the shrimp spring rolls. Tons of fresh veggies and appreciated that pretty much everything is grab and go or takes ~5 minutes to prepare!
Having a sign or chalkboard outside advertising foods and prices might help get more foot traffic in. A couple small tables inside would probably help. Excited to come back and try the fried banana!

Get a fried banana! Its so good especially since theyre made fresh. Crispy on the outside and soft silky on the inside. What a treat!
Its a small spot, and mostly a grab and go for japanese inspired sandos, vietnamese noodle salads, and drinks like peach tea and green thai tea! There is also a small hot menu that is made to order at the front.
Egg salad sando was creamy and rich, peach tea refreshing, and green thai tea was a delicious treat.
I come back for the fried banana but always look forward to trying whatever they have in stock because its all really good!

Fresh, high quality grab and go food in a clean, cozy space. Both the red and green milk teas were great, with very fragrant tea and not too sweet. The pork spring rolls were good, but the crab cake sandwich was my favorite. They also had a small chalkboard with some made to order items that I’m looking forward to trying next time.
