Moo Bong Ri (MBR Oakland)

We ordered the rose tteokbokki, soy garlic chicken, and seollangtang. It was SO GOOD!!!!! The soy chicken came out really hot but after it cooled down, the sauce was incredible. The seolltangtang was super fresh and clean, very light. The rose tteokbokki took the cake and the portion size is HUGE! Overall an amazing experience, will be back!

I had a nice dining experience here. Had the spicy beef soft tofu soup, garlic pork belly wraps and a few sojus.
👍 The food portions were larger than expected.
👍 The prices were reasonable.
👍 Wide variety of dishes in their menu that are harder to find at other Korean restaurants.
👍 Service was exceptional given it was a full house.

The spicy rose rice cake noodles are really good! The spicy beef soup is rich in taste and comes in big portion! Would recommend! Really good atmosphere too.

Food: we got the korean fried chicken based off of reviews- the red sauce was nothing special, having an awful after taste. Soy garlic flavor was good. The chicken was dry, hard, and honestly inedible. I would bite the chicken, chew it and when swallowing would feel it going down my throat. This was the worst fried chicken i’ve ever had.
Service: so awful… we came in and were seated. Another group came in after us. The waitress went over to them and took their order before ours. Then another table also came in after we had ordered our food. Both tables ended up getting their food before us. It also felt biased via serving (there were others that were being asked if they needed anything while we were ignored.) we didn’t get any utensils and i asked for some and the waitress rudely said the utensils were under the table. As first time (and now last time) customers, we had no clue about that and no one even bothered to point it out when our food came. Things were just thrown at our table and we did not feel welcome at all. Felt out of place and definitely staff was discriminating against us.

Have been coming to this place for more than six years now and have always enjoyed the food here. My favorites are the blood sausage, pork rib soup, acorn cold noodle, and assorted pork soup. Very authentic Korean menu items that you can hardly find anywhere else in the Bay Area.

I had Mubong-ri Gopchang Hot Pot recommended by my friend and it was really good.The server guy Joshua was kind and friendly. I would recommend try this soup.

Service was excellent and staff nice.
Last time I tried beef intestine casserole was more than enough for two people and taste was awesome.
