Extremely helpful and friendly staff! They explained the different flavors in detail and were very patient with me and 3 friends deciding while there were a few people behind us. This was also like 10 minutes before closing!Got the matcha and strawberry which were such a good mix. Their matcha is perfectly balanced sweetness with a hint of bitterness from the strong matcha.I'm not a specifically dairy free person but their ice cream is the only non dairy ice cream that I have tried and really enjoyed. Will be back for more!
A charming little corner shop! I’d never had cashew-based ice cream before, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were rich, flavorful, and satisfyingly creamy. The guy at the counter was so accommodating with our group of 5, patiently letting us sample a wide range of the flavors.I was very pleased with my kid’s scoop of matcha! The matcha was fantastic - you could really taste the slightly bitter graininess of the matcha. As another option, you can also get a split scoop of two flavors with a single, which is pretty nice. The only slight downside was parking, though after some circling through neighborhood streets, we were able to find some street parking. I’m sold on cashew ice cream!

Great vegan ice cream served with a smile. Ive patronozed this place several times and tried many things...all of them delicious. I really wish we had more like this in the Central Valley California. The only problem I have with this place is not the place at all but it's the parking. you either have to circle around for a long time or park very far away to find anything Since it's very small inside most people grab and go which is why the parking problem is such a big problem! The service is always great and it has a nice, hipster ambiance.

Went on a little bike ride over to this side of the east bay and happened to stop by in front of Mr. Dewie's. I've tried this cashew ice cream before when they opened in Emeryville so I stopped by for a small treat. There were so many flavors here and they were accommodating and let me try one before I asked for the matcha. it was so creamy and a good substitute for lactose intolerant people. I did, however, go outside with an ice cream in one hand and my bike in the other. This has never happened to me before but I dropped my ice cream right when I walked outside. It was a bit embarrassing and the staff understood and were so kind when I told them what happened. Like no, I did not eat my ice cream that fast but I wasn't embarrassed enough to walk away without finishing an ice cream so I went back :D

Honestly didn't know what I was expecting since this was a no diary ice cream shop. Went with the classic chocolate since I wanted something to compare to. What I ended up with was a single scoop of their coconut chocolate. It had a nicely balanced flavoring to it. It was more melty than typical ice cream but it had a lovely texture to it. I would come back to try other flavours!!

I guess my mind can't get over the fact that my ice cream was made from cashews. I ordered the caramel almond crunch but it tasted like cashews. I couldn't even taste caramel. It definitely was not what I was anticipating. I need to go down the street to get my toasted almond ice cream from Fentons. I still rated this shop 4 stars since service was great and there were lots of people stopping in and looking happy eating their ice cream. Just not for me.

Overall an excellent experience. Staff is friendly. I love that it is organic. Interesting that it is cashew based. The issue is flavor. The chocolate is very rich and is a blast, 5/5. However, the vanilla isn’t vanilla enough. It tastes odd, not bad, but plain. Had a sample of the maple and walnut, which is rich, but too sweet. Would have been 5/5 if the flavors can be further fine-tuned.

Omg! We finally found an ice cream parlor that served non dairy, only wished we found this ice cream place sooner. Taste way better than dairy ice cream and the flavors are out of this world, the coffee and banana nut bread is my fave, they also split the scoops too, big generous scoops!! Kids are happy. This is our go to spot for a sweet treat. Nice and friendly service.
We travel all the way from San Francisco to have this delicious special treat. IMO, it tastes even better then dairy based ice creams. Mr. Dewie, my family loves you. Not to mention, the location is right next to an outdoor square where you can sit on a bench and relax while cars and pedestrians cruise by. The staff is always super friendly and always a ton of flavors to choose from.

Finally! Good, creamy, dairy free ice cream.
