Nation's is an Eastbay tradition. This location usually has incredible food and friendly, personable staff. It can get pretty loud on Fridays at 1:30 am, but rarely gets hairy. They keep it clean ALL the time. I mean, they really stay on top of it. My only complaint would be that on very rare occasions, they seem unnecessarily slow.

Very unfriendly service. Dined in around 11am on a Tuesday. Their was no one in line & the cashier still acted like I was a nuisance to her. It's important when someone comes to eat that you are greeted professionally & maybe with a smile. The cooks seemed nicer & food was good.

The food was great and service was awesome!! Until I waited for my half chocolate cream pie and a different cashier was behind the counter. I swear she saw me but didn't even acknowledge my presence to say hey I will be right with you!! I must have waited a solid 10 minutes after I ate my food and cleaned my table before I went to ask for my pie. It wasn't until she saw another customer in line that wanted to order before she bothered to ask what I needed!! The way she asked felt like she had already known what I was going to ask. Because if she was going to take my order she would have started with welcome to nations can I take your order or would you like to try one of our pies??? Not what do you want???
