I love the concept of this restaurant, the atmosphere and presentation of the dishes with do many delicious flavors . We started with the chicharrones with guacamole , the chicharron was a top for me!My favorite was the beef barbacoa empanada very filling and tasty, the cucumber & brusela salad was amazing so many flavors and very fresh. We also ordered the asada tacos, I like their special take with queso, guac and grilled onion. Super cute place and bar with amazing mezcal cocktails!!

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Mary and the entire staff at Odin’s for being extremely accommodating and resourceful. Their outdoor sister location, Nido’s Backyard, closed for the day due to inclement weather, and Mary was able to accommodate and shift my large party reservation of ~30 people to Odin’s last minute! The food and cocktails here were also amazing, and all of the staff were attentive and kind. Don’t miss out on this gem in Oakland if you’re ever in the area!

Cute little spot, can see why locals like it.The atmosphere is appealing andthe drinks are good and rolled over the tongue too easily. Good (Great?) Spot for those who love mezcal - as the lineup they have is something to behold. The food was delicious, well paced, and didn't let us down one bit. Cute date night spot, parking wasn't too terrible, and service was attentive but not pushy.Tried: empanada, aguachile, pork belly plato fuerte, chicken mole quesadilla, Bruselas. So so good.

Great for a girls night or our Mezcal Mondays I just recommend sitting at the bar and knocking those cocktails back. The restaurant is so gorgeous at night, the hosts are friendly and the meals ( a little pricy and small ) are still goodGet the mussels

Pretty good. Nothing to necessarily write home about except for the steak tacos. I am a very tough critic on Mexican food tho. Staff was nice and the vibes were cool.

Stopped by on my walk home from BART and fell in love with this place. Great cocktails and great food. A lesser known gem in the town.

Wow! Odin Mezcaleria is my new favorite place. We went with some old friends and were guided by Joe, who was on top of his craft. He brought us a welcome drink, which was a tamarind punch that they sourced directly from a small artisanal maker of liqueurs in Mexico. It was incredible. Before our friends arrived, Joe gave us some tips on the menu and took our drink orders. As the evening got underway and our drinks got close to empty, Joe was always there to look out for us. I couldn't imagine a better, more knowledgeable person to help guide you in your burgeoning love of mezcal, sotol, or the other spirits offered at Odin. Our party first sampled the delicious cocktails. Every single one was an adventure for the palette and absolutely delicious. We shared the guacamole and the queso fundido. Both were wonderful with the queso fundido being one of the best I've had.Joe checked in on us and I asked him for his recommendation on a unique pechuga mezcal. He was extremely passionate and knowledgeable and brought me a rare bottle I had never tried, much less heard of. He told us the entire story of the distillery, the family craftspeople, and the rarity of the bottle (bottle 111/111). At a price that was super reasonable given the rarity, I was inspired by the flavor. Its complexity left me stunned. I later asked Joe for another recommendation for cuishe mezcal and again, the spirit was extremely complex and unique. I am excited to go back and try more bottles with the help of Joe.For our mains, our party split everything so we got to try a lot of flavors. Some of the highlights were the shrimp tacos, aguachile, and the mole Coloradito quesadilla. We also tried dessert. We couldn't decide which was better because we loved both. Chocolate lovers loved the pot de crème and others loved the sweet potato flan which was rich and dense. We all agreed the seasoned pecans were unreal.Overall, Odin is a taste adventure with familiar flavors that delight further in their rich complexity. Service was amazing. Joe has a good sense of humor and by the end of the dinner, we felt like we made a new friend, who also happened to hold the secret wisdom of mezcal.5/5 will be back!

The food and ambiance were fantastic. Will be back soon. I would say service could be improved. We ordered a Paloma with mezcal but got tequila. No big deal but if you messed up fix it instead of make excuses.

The food was delicious and the mezcal selection was even better. Service was slow but the restaurant only had one server working and it was busy on a Thursday night.

Met with a friend afterwork for drinks and it was such a cute spot, very intimate setting so I would go there for a date next time and not with my girlies because you can hear peoples conversations since the seating is a bit close. The drinks were VERY strong hahaha I don't remember much or what we ordered but all I know is we had a great time and we were so full! Although we weren't really sure what we were eating it was really good! If you love tequila I would definitely recommend and sit at the bar maybe (that area seemed the most fun). But so glad we went.

Excellent and very interesting modern Mexican food. You can tell that a lot of time goes into the flavors. The esquite was a particular favorite, as well as the mezcal margaritas. The restaurant is quiet inside, so the location near the highway doesn't take away from the atmosphere.

I was really surprised by this place. The location and surrounding couple blocks aren't the prettiest, but the inside has a great vibe and is a lovely place to spend time. Their cocktail menu features a lot of mezcal, and they actually do a great job of using mezcal to create a wide variety of drinks that could appeal to anyone's tastes.I think Nido's Backyard's (their sister restaurant) food is fine but overpriced, and I expected the same from Odin - but I actually don't feel that way at all. The food here was killer and although it's still a little pricey, totally worth it. Solid service as well.

This place is a gem. They have an amazing happy hour menu that while it may be small, it is mighty. One of the best things here is surprisingly their blue corn tortillas that are made fresh each day which are super smooth and soft. The botanitas have braised chicharon that is unlike any other I have tasted along with avocado and cheese. The tacos dorados are superb. The queso fundido con chamipiones is my favorite happy hour menu item due to the perfect mix of cheese, mushrooms, and spiciness from the salsa. Speaking of salsa they have many of them and each is paired with the menu item beautifully. The shrimp tacos are otherworldly with cheese, and peppers that make your taste buds dance. However, it was the esquite that stole my heart even though I'm not a huge corn fan I kept on wanting more and more. The desert here is fabulous and they offer a pot of chocolate and flan.Service can be a bit slow at times but it suits the vibe of the place and it felt nice to take my time and enjoy everything the place has to offer including the music which was terrific.Odin is a mezcalaria though and the cocktails they have only include mezcal, tequila, and sotol bases excluding mocktail offerings. They have more of those bases than I have ever seen and all at very reasonable prices.Overall if you have a chance to come here, do. You don't want to miss out on this place.
