This once was a favorite of mine,I went into the establishment after being unable to reach by phone. There were 2 people ahead of me. The owner told the 1st couple 10 mins. He told the 2nd patron 15 mins. And then he noticed me . I ordered and he told me 20 mins. If I wanted to wait,I said I would pay and come back.The owner insisted I wait for him to prepare the prevoius orders before he would take my money.I repeated I would pay and come back,he had a very nasty attitude even when other customers tried to explain. I told him he did not have to worry about me or my family coming into his place ever again.I am writing this review because this gentleman treated a 15 year plus customer horribly,he obviously has no idea how to sustain a customer base. I am dissapointed and will NEVER enjoy another meal from this establishment.The power of the dollar is powerful and I encourage everyone to not patronize places that dont respect you.

The fish and shrimp is great.

I always get the LRG snapper with fries.. really good, great portion size, could give more fries though ??‍♂️

It was decent enough I had catfish and fries. People seem to really like their French fry mix. It's a small not meant for dine in.

Off the hook has been closed for repair for many months which left a huge void in my family dinners. When I called today and found they were open, I was ecstatic. Their quality of a meal did not let me down and the price did not go up. So glad you are up and running again

Rude. Make sure you ask if they have black or refried beans. I got the latter and it made my burrito really bland and the texture was mushy and gross.4/10 edible but not worth $17. Ruined my appetite.

The food is fire but the male owner is rude as can be! I hate giving him my money, but again the seafood platters are delicious. They could make more money if he wasn't soooo rude! The location isn't so great in the heart of downtown Oakland with all the crazies and drug addicts and limited parking, but if you have someone who can go in for you while you circle the block a couple of times it should be ok...if you order a head of time.

We spent $74 on 2 three way combos of fish, shrimp and oysters. We should have walked away when I noticed the large opened container of “Kirkland” potato salad on the counter with the large metal spoon just sitting in it. Thankful I didn’t order it because I don’t eat any potato salad other than mom’s and my own. The seafood was over cooked, fish dry, shrimp rubbery, oyster breading awful and French fries undercooked. They burrito ingredients on display behind the counter: Cheese, meats, cilantro etc. containers trays uncovered, days old looking, and just spilled traces of food all over the spaces in between each serving container. The floor behind the counters and going into the kitchen looked nasty. I don’t know why this place has 4.2 rating. If the health dept came in that day it wouldn’t have passed, unless they only allow this because of the clientele they serve. Disgusting food served here.

I've been coming here for over 10 years and every time I come it's an enjoyable experience that I love to share with everyone. I live in San jose and coming to Oakland for the catfish and fries is worth it every time. Thanks off the hook for the good

I bought a hamburger burrito from this restaurant yesterday and asked from no beans and an avocado. I got alot of rice no flavor not a good burrito no avocado a refund of a dollar an sum change sand escorted out the dor because some regular customers came in to order. I was recommended to this restaurant as being as a friendly and a good and tasty. I didn't like my burrito or customers service!
