2 of us had a beef noodle soup (pho) and a lunch combo special of chicken satay and beef+ string beans. Everything was delicious, especially the pho. Service and atmosphere also great. Will be coming back.

The restaurant is very nice. I don't know much about Thai food. But I ordered a salad with some pieces of very delicious roast meat, I really liked it. I will bring my wife to enjoy this meal together more ✌️?✌️

We love Pagargung Thai and have been coming here for almost 17 years. Their pad Thai is fantastic, the Pagarung prawns are the best item ever and their garlic pepper pork is a must. We've never been disappointed, and the price point is reasonable.

Went to this restaurant expecting something decent considering the 5 star reviews… The food was endiable and chewy and the chicken was stale and over seasoned. Will not be coming back.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant again. Last time was many years ago. The staff was so nice. However, I was very disappointed in the food. The chicken in the curry and noodles was very over cooked. The noodles were over cooked. The prawn soup had an excellent broth, but the prawns were over cooked.

If you're looking for excellent Thai food, Pagarung Thai Restaurant in Antioch Court in beautiful Montclair Village is the place to go. This is not a bland restaurant. The Thai flavors explode in your mouth. I'm not talking about hot spiciness, but rather the way the food is cooked with great use of Thai spices, perfectly seasoned, such that each bite is something to relish. The dishes are bold in flavor. For the night, we had the incredibly tasty basil pork--yes you can literally taste the basil in the sauce and the pork is cooked to perfection. We also had sliced beef with spinach saturated with peanut sauce--so rich in flavor you only need a small amount of it. Our third dish was the usual chicken in green curry with zucchini and Asian string beans, another ultra flavorful dish. There are no pretenses in this restaurant, no fancy "street food" adjectives that come in stingy dishes (such as that extremely overpriced other Thai restaurant in Montclair called Daughter something). Pagarung simply serves you very good dishes and they are generous in their entrees. We came out of there taking home some food because the portions are so big. The condiments are great too. They bring out pickled hot sauces and you can also ask them for their concoction of fish sauce with Thai chili (very hot). The restaurant is cozy and the tables are extremely clean and perfectly lit. It is heated well so you feel comfortable in your shirtsleeves. The service is nice and friendly but they leave you alone to enjoy your food. i.e. they are attentive but don't get in the way. The prices are quite reasonable, generally $15.50 for the chicken, beef, and pork entrees and $18.95 for the roast duck, prawn, and other specialty seafood dishes. For three entrees, two bowls of rice, and two Heinekens, our bill was about $70 before tax and tip. How great is that? In summary, Pagarung gets a well-deserved five star review (and a really generous tip). This is now our go to Thai restaurant and has become one of our restaurant rotation.

Favorite Thai place to get delivery from in all Montclair! They have reasonable prices and the food is delicious! Our favorite is the bbq chicken, panang beef, spring rolls, pad see yee, and pad Thai. You can't go wrong!!!

Honestly, just incredible! I got to Pagarung just before closing and the staff were so graceful. They took my to-go order and gave me water while I waited. The service was excellent, everyone was nice. The restaurant was immaculate, very well decorated. When I got home I couldn't wait to eat. The Spring Rolls were perfect. Soft rice paper wrapper, crunchy veggies, and perfectly cooked prawns. The peanut sauce was flavorful, there was a spice that I could not detect, it added great value. The curry was just delicious. The sauce, the pumpkin, the chicken, and all the veggies were flavorful. I would love to give more details but not sure what to say other than I was extremely satisfied. The meal was everything needed and more. I'd been here prior to the pandemic and remember it being good, but my experience this time was literally perfect. My only regret was not ordering mango with sticky rice. Next time!

Really nice lunch combo!

Tasty. Easy free parking. Dine in or good for fast takeout. Menu items online aren't necessarily what is actually offered.

Food was bland, food was overpriced and then on ordering white rice we got charged $9 for jasmine rice. Will definitely not be back.

The cashew chicken I ordered to go that I have been loving around the world in many Asian cuisine‘s for the past 40 years was the worst I ever had. The chicken was obviously frozen and re-frozen multiple times and tasted worse than cardboard. The Rice and cucumber salad were fine because you couldn’t fudge on that. This was on 8/26/2022 around 5:30 PM. I do sympathize with restaurants that are doing poorly and must resort to things like this but I had to say something. I speak fluent Thai and I often get great food and service by asking what’s good over the phone and they’re amazed when I come in and see I’m not Thai. This time I did not because it was the first time I’ve tried the place. Obviously, I won’t be back.

The food was good. There was only one server at the time I went and it took a long time for my table to be attended and the kitchen was talking a while to cook the food and bring things out. The beef in the fried rice was very soft and delicious! The crispy chicken was not crispy as it should've been but I was soggy and chewy. The fried calamari was delicious. The pad see ew was delicious and taste great! This place serves large portions, so if you're trying to get your moneys worth, I'd recommend this place.
