What a hidden gem! The BEST gluten free baked goods in the Bay Area (better than Mariposa!). A small kiosk at the back of 3601 Broadway, the old Kaiser bldg, free parking in lot off 38tg and lots of street parking along MacArthur/residential. There’s no indoor seating but a really lovely and large outdoor garden with ample seating. The staff and owner are really special people.

Shockingly good food for a hospital cafe and the nicest, most fun-loving, and generous staff you’ve ever met.

They have soy milk! Yaaa! So many places aren't serving it anymore. I bought a GF blueberry muffin and soy chai latte. Love the different messages on their paper cup holders.I am thankful that they mentioned their chai is unsweetened and offered some honey. So thoughtful! I appreciate the time they took to make my soy chai with intention, to perfection.

I discovered Panama Bay Coffee early this morning on the ground level of the Kaiser Oakland Medical Building, at 3701 Broadway, on my way to my first occupational therapy session. It was 6:40am and I was surprised to see the tiny coffee shop bustling with 3-4 employees getting ready to open. All women, they were in a good mood and happy to take my cappuccino order a few minutes before there official opening. I took a sip and it was extraordinary! I am a bit of a cappuccino fan and keep a personal record of each one that I encounter which is 'world class' in my humble opinion. Panama Bay made my short list for sure, along with "Nirvana Soul" (San Jose and Cupertino), "Communal Cafe" (Nevada City), and "The Black Cup" (Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico). Panama Bay is a lot closer so check them out. They have other locations in Livermore, Walnut Creek, and Vallejo which I will be sure to try when I pass through those communities.

Great little coffee shop with a wide variety of beverages/syrups, food and snacks. I got a spinach and cheese croissant and a lavender latte and both were wonderful. I was so happy to find that there’s also a beautiful garden to sit in at the back! And the woman working, Christine, was the sweetest! I’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely made my day! Located inside of Kaiser, tucked in a corner adjacent to a beautiful garden... I had a long wait before an appt and was recommended this cafe by a nurse. I ordered what was listed on their 'specials' board in the walkway. A Chunky Monkey ???? ???? chocolate almond milk banana smoothie and a grilled cheese on sourdough with the option to add bacon and tomatoes. I ordered it and LOVED it all. So amazing. Definitely recommend it. ???? It may be one of my favorite smoothies I've had.

Staff are amazing, always very kind and endearing. Food tastes and looks great. I haven’t found anything else like it around. ????‍????But I have to give one star because I’ve had some really poor experiences. Out of the three times I’ve gotten food here I’ve had two major issues. One time I found a foreign metal object that appeared to be a small nail in my food. Then today I had my food come back up, per say, after eating. Not fun… ????That being said I really want to like this place but I won’t be returning for these reasons.
