Better than it was a few years ago. But still sloppy service. I understand barista is not your dream job, but it's still your job, do it the best you can. These young hipsters these days have no sense of

Team members were lovely. Food was delicious. Hard to get my kid to like healthy things and he loved the walnut carrot bread?

Great local place to grab a scrumptious meal and really delicious chai latte with their personal chai made on-site. My friend had the totachiles and vowed to come back with others to have more.Sidewalk and side patio seating for those with pups. Inside are tables and booths. Acoustics make it a bit loud, but most folks were quiet. If nouse is an issue, avoid weekends when the place is spilling over with mostly loud kids. It's not fun unless you have one of those kids. You always have the outdoor option as well.Friendly service. Not always the quickest, so go with time on your hands, especially on the weekend.

The barista (lighter toned/hair pulled back) is extremely rude. My boyfriend (a local artist & producer) went in to get some work done & simply asked her how she was, she didn’t respond so he thought possibly she didn’t hear him. He asked her again & instead of answering she goes “what can I get for you” not sure if she was having a bad morning but learn to treat your customers kindly. She brought him his espresso & it was gross & gritty, due to already feeling off by the interaction he didn’t say anything & just chose to leave. Do better.

When I go to a cafe for coffee, I really want it to be better than the drip I can make at home. But this drip coffee, the last couple times I've tried is just...terrible. Burnt and flat, or another time mercifully flavorless. I pay $5 to pour it down the drain when I get home, and I am by no means a coffee snob.I want my neighborhood cafe to be a place I want to go to... so disappointing. The staff is friendly, it's clean, and that's about it :( :(Every year or so, I forget, or I'm with a friend, and the experience repeats. One would have hoped it would improve over time.

Atmosphere’s both friendly and calm. The food is worth it. Similar to a coffee shop vibe with sociable people and the occasional laptop. Some outdoor seating is available, but plan to get there early because I’ve rarely seen any outdoor seating left on a sunny day. I may pop in for lunch but would like to try their beer and wine selection at some point.

I was on a hunt for local coffee shops in the Oakland/Berkeley area, and when I found Café Paradise, I stopped looking elsewhere. This place brings me joy! The staff is always friendly, the food is GREAT, and I live for their mocha chia smoothies (add a banana to it!)

Cute little spot with absolutely delicious breakfast options. I wish I’d live here to have this be my regular weekend treat. I absolutely bodied my burrito. It was perfectly cooked and the tomatoes were a delight. Also don’t sleep on the baked goods! Excellent when toasted =) overall VERY good

Fantastic coffee and a solid vegan offering but I wish they would have an option of chickpea tofu or chickpeas not being fried! I was excited to see chickpea tofu because I avoid soy but the tofu was deep fried and for health reasons I need to avoid fried foods so I had to end up putting it to the side and not eating it. Another time I got the Bhudda Bowl and the chickpeasThere were fried too. Maybe make non fried an option? This place is right near UCSF Berkeley where I get medical care and it would be great to have a place I could come to after appointments!
