Warmly greeted and promptly seated. Aiden was very helpful to answer our questions about the menu. The sea bass was delicious. Definitely will go back.

Wow! This place is the real deal. Just returned from Thailand and have been craving Thai food. Of course I have my favorite Thai restaurants, but wanted to try this new restaurant, and oh my God, so good. Not like your typical Thai restaurants. Layered flavors and amazing beyond words. Particularly loved the pod Thai with lobster and shrimp and tofu, as well as the egg custard.

My partner and I had a terrific meal at Payakk. The interior space is inviting and charming, the service was attentive and the dishes creative and delicious. We started with four sea scallops in a yummy sauce, then moved on to flank steak with grilled baby bok choy and glass noodles, and the restaurant's signature dish, Pad Thai Chiya, billed as the first southern Thailand-style pad thai in the U.S. The flavors were amazing and the noodles really outstanding. No room for dessert! We will be back.

what a nice place to dine. From start to finish everything was superb. The dining room(s) were beautiful. At first it was a bit chilly but our server said that she had just turned on the heat and she expected the room to warm up shortly. It did though to our liking it was still a bit cold. We ordered the curry tofu puffs appetizer which was deliciously prepared and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the tofu with green beans and garlic which was also great. We picked this dish as one of our 2 mains but it wasn't quite large enough for that. Still it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We requested that it not be prepared too spicy and that was perfectly carried out. Our main dish was the house special pad Thai. Probably the best pad Thai I have ever eaten. Loaded with flavor, 2 very large prawns and a few smaller shrimp with a lot of noodles. 3 of us shared everything and that was sufficient. For dessert we had both of the options. A poached pair with peanut sauce and another dish with tapioca with coconut pudding and it was tasty also but the pear dessert was my fav. Overall we thought that the restaurant was beyond our expectations and I highly recommend it. The menu changes monthly so you can go back every month and try something new!

Love the decor and ambience. Quiet enough to have a conversation, pleasant mood lighting. Love the wood paneling and teal color. Service was slow and they were definitely understaffed for a Saturday night. Food was hit and miss. The braised ribs were yummy. The duck curry was so spicy it was inedible, but fortunately the waitress warned us first (and let us try a sip). The mushroom potato puff thing was bland, and the tuna floss (I assumed it would have tuna in it) was pretty much inedible. That being said, this place is brand new and it is expected to have some growing pains. Looking forward to going back and trying some other menu items.

This is not your usual pad Thai and green or yellow curry joint. The chef is the real deal. Her personality shines thru the food, the presentation and the very personal decor. Excellent!

I love Thai food, and I've had a lot of it. I've never been *surprised* by it until I ate at Payakk. Intensely flavorful, vibrant dishes that make all of the flavors pop. Note that they currently don't have a beer or wine license, so no drinks at the moment.

Creative while respecting traditional Thai flavors. I was blown away here, I can't stop thinking about the threaded tuna salad. I had two entrees. Can't wait to return.

Food so good you'll still be talking about it the next day. Would like to see a bit more thoughtfulness on the service front but assume that'll improve over time. Loved the atmosphere, great decor and vibe.

Exciting new neighborhood restaurant! Warm and inviting ambience, amazing fresh and innovative food, great service! We ordered Green Lady Tiger Curry, Tamarine Chicken Wings, Jor Pu and the Mango Sticky Rice Toast Bar for dessert! Enjoyed everything we ordered and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend Payaak!

This place is beautiful from the inside out! The decor is inviting and warm with retro keepsakes and greenery tastefully arranged in an artistic and interesting way. But this is a mere preamble to the delicious and creative dishes that are presented first in a gorgeous menu and later on to the serving dish brought to the table in a most generous way. The staff delivers each dish as though it's a gift, and it is, first to the eye and eventually to the tastebuds. Each of the dishes we selected were elegant in presentation and flavor, with clean delicate sauces and seasoning. Technique is something of a mystery as I have had Thai food many times before but this is different. I'm lingering in the experience and already planning my next visit with intent to try many more delicious offerings. Welcome to the neighborhood! I hope you love it here!

Highly recommend a reservation. The food was good, but my favorite dish was the Sea Bass Curry and the Sai-Ouwa. Everything was tasty and I love the vibes of the restaurant. Giving me retro and eclectic decor. I would definitely return.

Steak was easily the tastiest thing on the menu. Loved the attention to detail of the restaurant, though it was quite dead for a Sunday evening. The dessert was delicious, though I was disappointed a few items on the menu we wanted to order had been sold out. Hope to return soon to try more on the menu. Ambience is excellent. Payakk is the perfect place for a date night.
