Great food, wonderful service and reasonable pricing. So good to have a good This restaurant in our neighborhood.
I'm sorry to say that the service we received here will prevent us from coming back. We were seated late for our 7:30 reservation which wouldn't have been a problem if we had not been rushed through our meal and basically pushed out the door at 9pm when they close. We started the night with the server not being able to answer any questions we had about the menu, forgetting to bring out our drinks and ended it with dessert being placed on the table as dinner is still in process. The food was very good but definitely not worth it with the abysmal service.
Great neighborhood spot with elevated menu. Their menu changes monthly. Their branzino is my favorite.
The food was flavorful and well-portioned but I was a little taken aback by prices, it could be because of the area or the level of intentionality they are aiming for. We ordered the fried chicken larb, pad Thai chaiya and two desserts: mango sago and matcha cheesecake. This was almost the best pad Thai I ever had but factoring in the price and how they didn't take out the sand veins made me think the execution could be better. The chicken larb was very tasty. Between the two desserts the mango sago was the winner. The matcha cheesecake was lackluster- too dense and dry even with a moist dessert like sago in hand. Overall we had a great meal, the staff was very friendly!
A neighborhood gem! There are a lot of Thai restaurants in the Bay Area, but this one deserves to be checked out. Very talented Chef delivering amazing flavors and changing the menu quite often.
Warmly greeted and promptly seated. Aiden was very helpful to answer our questions about the menu. The sea bass was delicious. Definitely will go back.
Fantastic food, great service, perfect portions. Delightful ambiance. We will certainly be going back again.
Wow! This place is the real deal. Just returned from Thailand and have been craving Thai food. Of course I have my favorite Thai restaurants, but wanted to try this new restaurant, and oh my God, so good. Not like your typical Thai restaurants. Layered flavors and amazing beyond words. Particularly loved the pod Thai with lobster and shrimp and tofu, as well as the egg custard.
My partner and I had a terrific meal at Payakk. The interior space is inviting and charming, the service was attentive and the dishes creative and delicious. We started with four sea scallops in a yummy sauce, then moved on to flank steak with grilled baby bok choy and glass noodles, and the restaurant's signature dish, Pad Thai Chiya, billed as the first southern Thailand-style pad thai in the U.S. The flavors were amazing and the noodles really outstanding. No room for dessert! We will be back.
what a nice place to dine. From start to finish everything was superb. The dining room(s) were beautiful. At first it was a bit chilly but our server said that she had just turned on the heat and she expected the room to warm up shortly. It did though to our liking it was still a bit cold. We ordered the curry tofu puffs appetizer which was deliciously prepared and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the tofu with green beans and garlic which was also great. We picked this dish as one of our 2 mains but it wasn't quite large enough for that. Still it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We requested that it not be prepared too spicy and that was perfectly carried out. Our main dish was the house special pad Thai. Probably the best pad Thai I have ever eaten. Loaded with flavor, 2 very large prawns and a few smaller shrimp with a lot of noodles. 3 of us shared everything and that was sufficient. For dessert we had both of the options. A poached pair with peanut sauce and another dish with tapioca with coconut pudding and it was tasty also but the pear dessert was my fav. Overall we thought that the restaurant was beyond our expectations and I highly recommend it. The menu changes monthly so you can go back every month and try something new!

Love the decor and ambience. Quiet enough to have a conversation, pleasant mood lighting. Love the wood paneling and teal color. Service was slow and they were definitely understaffed for a Saturday night. Food was hit and miss. The braised ribs were yummy. The duck curry was so spicy it was inedible, but fortunately the waitress warned us first (and let us try a sip). The mushroom potato puff thing was bland, and the tuna floss (I assumed it would have tuna in it) was pretty much inedible. That being said, this place is brand new and it is expected to have some growing pains. Looking forward to going back and trying some other menu items.
This is not your usual pad Thai and green or yellow curry joint. The chef is the real deal. Her personality shines thru the food, the presentation and the very personal decor. Excellent!
I love Thai food, and I've had a lot of it. I've never been *surprised* by it until I ate at Payakk. Intensely flavorful, vibrant dishes that make all of the flavors pop. Note that they currently don't have a beer or wine license, so no drinks at the moment.

Excellent food, beautifully served with interesting ingredients. A fantastic new addition to the neighborhood.
Creative while respecting traditional Thai flavors. I was blown away here, I can't stop thinking about the threaded tuna salad. I had two entrees. Can't wait to return.
