I love coming to California for Peet’s and today was very disappointing because I don’t even taste coffee just hot milk. Peet’s have some of the strongest coffee but I can’t taste it today. It looks and tastes like only milk and not a latte.

I visited the Peet’s Coffee at Oakland Airport this morning (July 19) and had a rather unpleasant experience. The cashier an older woman who appeared to be fatigued was shockingly rude and dismissive. Her attitude was unprofessional and completely against the warm, customer-oriented image I expect from Peet’s.
What struck me even more was their tip setup: not one, not two, but three tip containers (two metal cans and one wooden jar) prominently displayed with messages encouraging customers to tip. It felt more like begging than a genuine request for gratuity. This approach is outdated and disrespectful it makes it seem like employees are not being paid adequately and have to rely on tips to make ends meet.
Peet’s Coffee needs to address this by:
1. Improving staff training so employees maintain professionalism—even during long shifts.
2. Ensuring fair compensation, so tipping isn’t pushed onto customers in such a conspicuous manner.
3. Reevaluating tip jar placement, to create a more respectful environment and uphold the company’s brand reputation.
Until these issues are resolved, I can’t recommend this location. It doesn’t meet the standards Peet’s normally upholds.

Not bad place for grabbing a bagel ($14) and going. Coffee is ok. White chocolate mocha ($7.15 medium) is a little bit sweet. The service was good. Thanks

The lady doing or handling the coffee station 🚉 was overwhelmed.
I called another employee to giver some assistance as passengers were getting jittery as they were trying to leave to get on their plane. ✈️
$25 + for a Breakfast Sandwich and a Iced Medium Coffee... well overpriced.
Conveniently located at the terminal. Employee Ms Lucy was so energetic and so customer focused. Appreciate it

We had a decaf americano with oat milk. And a chocolate croissant. While the Coffee was nice the Oat milk quantity would have been slightly more to offer a creamier taste. They should also put some efforts to put flies away from food items, we spotted something over the pastry rack. Overall not a bad option for airport.
