Loved the coquitos, super refreshing and perfectly made. The risotto was also amazing, creamy and full of flavor. I also tried the crispy tater tots and the beef tomato drink, both were amazing. The decoration was beautiful and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like this place but I thought it was quite overrated. Plus side is that we were seated quickly and the service was good. Down side was that the decor was tacky, and the drinks, while creative, were weak and left much to be desired for the price. Unfortunately the cost does not make sense for me to visit this place again, especially with so many bars nearby that make killer cocktails for 20% less.

Cons: it's kind of small space. But that's okay though! So it really isn't a con. 😉

Service was fantastic and the food delicious well prepared and presented . Bar tenders were very knowledgeable about ALL the beverages and how they create the syrups and add edible flowers to add to the presentation. Drink ingredients and sauces all created in house . I had a couple of mocktails which were delicious and my pals had a couple of really tasty cocktails using mezcal. If you are in Oakland and want to support agreat local restaurant with personable staff I would give Viridian a go.

got the tomato beef cocktail (their signature & most popular), their crispy chicken wings (DELISHHH) and their spicy cucumbers all for about $40! which in oakland is a wonderful price especially since i had leftovers which i ate the next day.
i came solo with a book on a saturday around 5pm and it was such a lovely date to take myself on. nobody bothered me. music was vibey. lighting was sensual. 10/10 would recommend :)

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat before a show at the Paramount Theater last night. We were unfamiliar with the neighborhood and tried to go to Agave Uptown, which was #1 on the Paramount website's list of local restaurants. It was totally booked up at 6:00 pm and we were told there was no chance of getting a table (we saw lots of empty tables) and no chance of getting on a wait list. Viridian was not on the Paramount's list and absolutely should be. The service was warm and welcoming and the food was fabulous. (the Caramel Crab Sauce Wings were amazing!) - a really lovely place with a great vibe — I'm so glad we found it.

Outstanding everything. The cocktails were creative and delicious, the team was very attentive and efficient, the food was complicated but approachable. The neon and acrylic feels like a cross between a late 80s coke palace and peak early 90s mall culture (no notes). I’ve since told several people to check it out; it has stayed on my mind. This place is so refreshing!
