Delicious drinks and snacks. Love this bar.
been here a few times but recently came for happy hour! so good!
got the tomato beef cocktail (their signature & most popular), their crispy chicken wings (DELISHHH) and their spicy cucumbers all for about $40! which in oakland is a wonderful price especially since i had leftovers which i ate the next day.
i came solo with a book on a saturday around 5pm and it was such a lovely date to take myself on. nobody bothered me. music was vibey. lighting was sensual. 10/10 would recommend :)
My husband and I were looking for a place to eat before a show at the Paramount Theater last night. We were unfamiliar with the neighborhood and tried to go to Agave Uptown, which was #1 on the Paramount website's list of local restaurants. It was totally booked up at 6:00 pm and we were told there was no chance of getting a table (we saw lots of empty tables) and no chance of getting on a wait list.
Viridian was not on the Paramount's list and absolutely should be. The service was warm and welcoming and the food was fabulous. (the Caramel Crab Sauce Wings were amazing!) - a really lovely place with a great vibe — I'm so glad we found it.
Outstanding everything. The cocktails were creative and delicious, the team was very attentive and efficient, the food was complicated but approachable. The neon and acrylic feels like a cross between a late 80s coke palace and peak early 90s mall culture (no notes). I’ve since told several people to check it out; it has stayed on my mind. This place is so refreshing!
I’ve been wanting to try Viridian for the longest time, and I am glad I got the chance to come here after work.
The happy hour menu is great. It has all of its greatest hits for a discounted price. The beef tomato drink is their biggest and most popular drink, and it can catch you off guard because of the clear color. The taste is unique and a one of a kind. You can take it to go too.
The tater tots are extra crispy and the sauce went very well with it. The mayo was smokey and spicy, and you can put that on anything.
The wings were great. They are sweet and savory and comes with a nice crunch. I recommend both of these to get off the happy hour menu or regular menu. It is worth it.
The Nashville tenders were amazing as well. The spice level isn’t over powering, and it is my favorite dish.
The vibe is artsy and Asian driven. You feel the pride of the culture when you walk in, look at the menu and decorations around the restaurant. The owners are passionate for the culture and looks to engage with you to tell you the story of what goes on behind the craft of drinks and dishes.
Really elevated, complex (and delicious) cocktails at amazing prices. Everything is Asian inspired and it’s just a fun experience all around. Food is also incredible. One of my fave bars in the entire Bay
great drinks 10/10! i really liked the aperol spritz :

Love the cocktails and food at this queer-friendly, authentically Asian American bar. I loved their Thai Tea cocktail which is no longer on the menu. The music is always a bit loud though.

My wife and I stopped by here before a show at the fox. I loved the vibe. The staff was so attentive to us and gave great recommendations! I wanted to have every cocktail on the menu! I was really impressed with how imaginative they were. The food was great too! Will definitely be back with friends or bride another show!!!

Surprisingly great food - we didn't know a former Michelin star chef was in the house. Atmosphere is great, bartenders looked out for us even though happy hour just ended.

My local friend took me to this cocktail bar in Oakland that has rave reviews. The food and drinks are all Asian-inspired (funny, since I’m visiting from Asia, so I wasn’t exactly blown away ?). But I’ve got to admit, the cocktails were actually solid. They used all kinds of Asian ingredients like longan, pandan, osmanthus, and even White Rabbit candy! The food was decent too—maybe not super bold in flavor, but hey, points for trying ?.
My friend warned me this place gets packed, and you can’t make a reservation. So, we showed up right when it opened at 5 p.m. Sure enough, by the time we left at 6, there was already a line.
great food and cocktails, friendly service, only didn't check on us regularly, so we had to ask the bar back for everything.
