Nice and cool place

Closed at 3:45 p.m. today and refused service from me and a few others even though hours are until 5pm. Door was open and actively told us to get out and put a chair in front of the door. Weird but will be going to get beignets elsewhere!

They refuse water to customers and when I asked to speak to a manager they were magically not there. She also lied and said the manager was out of town and when I asked when they would be back she said the manager wasn’t around. She then lied again and said she didn’t have paper and a pen to write the manager’s name even though it was sitting on right on the counter. So when I called her out she then said can’t provide water, then said she could for .50. Jokes.

The food here is good . I just wish the customer service was better . I arrived to their location 15 minutes before closing . I ordered a box of beignet and the cashier stated that she was going to make my order but that next time I should be jere 15 minutes before closing . I understand everyone wanting to go home but it was an unnecessary answer . If she did not want to do the order she could have just simply said no .

Ignored by staff for 5 minutes (just speaking spanish between then, 3 ladies working) at 1PM on 4/26. There were 4 other customers waiting.

Soooo good. The mozzarella tomato basil sandwich was very good and the caramel macchiato was the best I've ever had. The beignets are big and definitely worth the price. And the crepes are amazinggggg. I will be back if I ever find myself in the Bay area again!

A hidden gem just by the Fruitvale BART station! Back when I lived in Oakland, this was my Go-To spot for coffee or pastries! Definitely preferable over the big name franchises that is everywhere!

Breakfast sandwich was very overpriced. About $14 for just egg, spinach and pesto.

I came here to get coffee and food and do some work today, however when I asked for their WiFi password they said they don’t have one. They do have WiFi they just don’t want to provide password. What’s the point of a coffee shop if we want to do work but they don’t offer that to their customers.

I came for a beginner, but I ordered a panini croque monsieur with a side salad instead, and I regret my decision. There was no panini press involved. Where is the cheese on top? It was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a wilted spring salad.

Although picture only shows the wilted pieces of my salad, it was enough to make me lose my appetite. The sandwich tasted good, but it's not what I wanted.

This place is clearly relegated for its beignets and crepes. I'll come back for the crepe or beignet next time.

I wish there were more places like this. It’s my first time here and it’s just so cozy in the morning. Amazing food, staff were phenomenal and friendly, incredibly refreshing. Get your coffee, relax and wake up here. Lots of seating too. Favoriting this spot for when I’m in the area :)

Good cafe near Fruitvale Bart. They have many pastry/dessert options including French style crepes made to order and all the standard coffee drinks. They have indoor and outdoor seating but there are always people lurking around and parking can be tough around FV Bart.
