Great spot. Easy access. Been here a couple times and always happy with the flavor and quality. Staff are wonderful.

Solid drinks, every time I order something different, whether it's a Charcoal Latte or a Saigon Latte, nothing disappoints! I'm sad the default milk is not dairy-free like oat milk is at Blue Bottle, but I'm happy that there are still dairy-free alternatives available for an additional cost. The pastry selections at this "box" or truck location is a bit more limited than say the shop in SF's Ferry Building, but it's good for a quick bite on the go. (I wish they had a toasted or heated option for some pastries though!) It's in a very convenient location within The Hive off of Broadway, which is quite lively both during the day and at night. It's a fun spot to hang out with friends and this small location offers three long outdoor benches in a semi-box at one end of the shop.

Great coffee. Quick service and no line on a Sunday morning. Neighborhood is a little iffy. We took the coffee around the corner to firebrand artisan breads.

It’s ok coffee and bassists is not friendly to POC and I litterally just heard her talking poorly about a customer! Just do better redbay.

This is my favorite coffee shop in a neighborhood with a high concentration of great coffee shops. I buy their beans and their lattes. My favorite flavor is their East Fourteenth Street coffee which I mix with their decaf. Not only does it taste great, but the coffee comes from Sweet Unity Coffee Collective in Tanzania, which is run by David Robinson, son of Jackie Robinson. Little known fact, Jackie's career after baseball was in coffee. Their baristas are warm and efficient (quick). This site is popular because their container shop is located in the Hive and it's a high foot traffic area, but the line moves at a decent clip. The business is black-owned and active in building community in Oakland. Who doesn't want to get their coffee from a recycled shipping container?

I gave this place a second shot. I ordered an iced lavender latte with the espresso not being very strong and bland. Customer service sucks like the first time I went there. It's just not for me. Sweet Bar Bakery is AMAZING- great customer service, good food, and strong espresso if you are looking for a better place.

Poor service. The first day I went about 3 weeks ago the services was sub par, however I wanted to give them another chance because the latte i had was really good. I've gone three days in one week and everyday that I went there was a different issue. No customer service. I really wanted to support. My business will go to the coffee shop on the corner.

This is my go to place for coffee in Oakland. The charcoal espresso while admittingly pretty hipstery is sooooooo good. And it's una. Cool courtyard where you can hand and have lunch or do some work. It's also a short walk from lake Merritt. I would highly highly recommend checking this place out.

Amazing service and amazing coffee! I got a barista choice, a charcoal latte. Such a yummy and sweet treat :)

This is the closet location to me and one of my faves! I try to keep my coffee consumption to at least 2x a week and when I'm feeling like I need a barista's touch for my coffee, without a doubt this is my #1 spot. While they don't have full service of what's available at the HQ location (i.e. swag, non-coffee drinks, coffee accessories, syrups, etc.) , you can still get many of the coffee drinks you want so it's a win.

Red bay is my forever love .. seriously I love E14th it's my fave blend to date and I love how they have all my favorite alternative mills to choose from. I'm a fan of aptly oat milk but it helped to know they curated their brands based off taste tests and the brand they chose had the perfect temp/texture when Heated But what I have been sleeping on for years is their charcoal latte Oh My god It kind of has a grainy texture (expected) and is gray / black in color but it's perfectly sweetened and so comforting

There is something that makes their coffee stand out from the rest. It has distinguished tones of mysterious, soul soothing, flavours.

Love Red Bay coffee! I initially tried them last year and came back recently- still as good as I remember. This location is unique- it's actually a shipping container. The flavors of the coffee are there balanced with just the right amount of sweetness (I ordered the latte). Line took some time with one person working, but we didn't mind the wait. Staff was friendly and POC owned. Will visit again and again.

The coffee here is very tasty and very real, but the service is very slow we're waiting for seven minutes after arriving in line and it being a knowledge for three men who had already received their coffee and we're waiting for a fourth coffee to be made. Although there is only one tenant in the shop Takeaway too long

Inconsistent but when it's good, it's really good! I typically order the iced charcoal latte. It's delicious most of the time. There's one worker who makes it terribly, and it's gritty and barely drinkable.. have tried it a couple of times when he's working and I've had to throw it out both times :(
