The food is wonderful, here. The environment is beautiful. I’ve been a local for over 10 years. My mother owned a home in the Montclair hills and I’ve lived in Berkeley and Oakland for a very long time. I’ve always been coming here, but most recently, since I moved back out here and started coming to the Market Hall, the security guards are profiling me, and it’s a horrible feeling because I’m not doing anything wrong! Amir, the manager of operations is a horrible person. I’ve already discussed the issue with him, but he’s made it much worse, in my opinion and did not help. To constantly profile a young woman, based on what? That’s discrimination. I come in, twice and week and buy food. I spend, around $200-400 a week, at the market hall. I bring business and I’m always tipping the employees, buying flowers, coffee, in that area, but I get bad treatment because of how I may dress, or perhaps, it’s the car I drive, but I know I dress just fine & drive a nice car, so perhaps, that’s what it is, but you guys can get a lawsuit for this. That may be the next step I have to take.

It always has so many things I want to try out! Super duper expensive but so is the neighborhood. But I love that it has my TRUFFLES (🍄) aioli stuff at a pretty decent price, like black/white truffle salt.
I would give this place 5 stars if the vendors weren't so into price gouging during a time when inflation is hurting people. They do give a 10% Senior Discount but they keep it a secret so ASK FOR IT! Otherwise, no matter how old you are you won't be offered it. They left an "upper class" bad taste in my mouth.

I was sad that their Berkeley location was closed, but at least this location is still running ?. My go-to for EVOO, vinegar, honey, teas, chocolate and other goodies.

Market Hall is my go to for deli food when I don’t want to cook. One-stop shopping. Fish store also has sushi, meat market has nice array of meat; produce has organic produce. Great pastries; high wire coffee Free 3-hour parking in the back.
