I'm so sorry to leave my review but they didn't leave any other option. Very bad service. We asked for water, they didn't bring it. The Thai tea was very bad. The food was unseasoned, very poor service. It was my first and last time and I thought it would be the same as Oakland, but I was disappointed. My family and those who accompanied me also had the same opinion as me.

Such a cute and quaint little coffee shop but mighty in its service, food and drink! It would be a perfect spot to meet friends, family and even for meetings outside in their patio which is covered and surrounded by beautiful plants and succulents. The chia bowl is soooo good and filling and their empanadas and other pastries all made in house! Laura the owner is so sweet and we hope her shop thrives in our area!
Please go and support her and her shop and support local business in Hayward!
A cafe so beautiful and powerful in its service, food and drink! It would be a perfect place to gather with friends, family and even for outdoor gatherings on the patio that is covered and surrounded by beautiful plants and succulents. The chia bowl is so good and filling and their empanadas and other pastries are homemade! Laura, the owner, is very sweet and we hope her store thrives in our area!

Great breakfast/lunch spot with tons of options for everyone. I love stopping here every couple of weeks when I hit Sandy’s Barberia next door to get my hair did.

I went in for my first time to purchase a cafe de olla and chia pudding. I am not from the area and was stopping for something quick. i had asked for a cafe de olla with some oat milk and after a few sips, i couldnt get past the taste—something tasted off. so i went to get one without any milk, thinking that would remedy the issue—however, maybe i am used to a different type of service since i have been in the food industry for 15 yrs, but usually if a customer does not
like their order, it gets replaced especially if it was barely consumed. but i had to purchase it again since i had asked
for the oat milk. while irritated, i paid and left a tip, only to realize that it wasnt the milk it is just their coffee that has a odd flavor that i have never had in any cafe de olla that ive had here or mexico. it almost tasted like the sugar they use in their piloncillo is sugar free or something. i didnt go back and wont be going back since i dont live in this area. the ambience is wonderful and the food great. it is possible that today was an off day but i had to at least comment on the service i received and the taste that seemed off
to me in their cafe de olla.

Google lead me here and I absolutely love it. The people here are so nice. Ordered the veggie sandwich and iced latte. AMAZING ! While I was waiting they gave me a sample of the chia pudding. It was so good I ordered one on the spot. Love the art inside. Love the seating outside. Please come try this cafe I promise you won’t be disappointed.

We came on a Saturday afternoon at 2.30 and this was closed. Please update your hours.
It has definitely become my favorite place to enjoy the "El Rebus" sandwich. You should try it if you get there, accompanied by a cappuccino and a delicious Danish bread.
Parking: Few spaces, but you can park in the same spot with a little luck.

I echo what others are saying .... Romo's Café has been here 3 years and I can't believe I'm just now finding this Hayward gem. The food and staff are wonderful. And the back patio .... wow! It's sweetly decorated, covered, and comfy. You feel taken you away from the busy life out front.
