Went to the bar early was nice vibe and chill good space. Came back later that night and had an awful interaction with the bouncer. I simply gave him my ID and he felt he couldnt see it and got increasingly hostile with me for absolutely no reason. Not once did I raise my voice but he did and escalated to telling me I could go somewhere else to which I gladly did. I was with a local who said its his typical behavior and as a woman to have a man be that way was rude and uncomfortable. I wanted to report him to the staff but decided it wasnt worth it so coming here. He definitely needs a talking to being that aggressive is not normal for literally no reason I never said anything wrong or did anything mean to him to be treated like that.

Loved the vibe of this bar, went in to meet some friends. I love the location, decent street parking for 5pm. The drinks were well made and the bartender was nice to chat with. Next time I’m in the town might have to swing by again!

Room 389 in downtown Oakland had potential — cool location, decent crowd, music was alright. But all of that went out the window thanks to one incredibly rude bartender.
I was out celebrating my birthday and asked, politely, if they offered any kind of birthday discount for a drink. Not only was I met with a flat-out “no,” but the way it was said was condescending and dismissive, like I was out of line just for asking. No smile, no courtesy — just straight attitude.
The energy shifted immediately. It made me — and the people I was with — feel unwelcome, like we were bothering them by being there.
It’s one thing to not offer a discount, but it’s another to treat a customer with zero respect. Especially when they’re out trying to enjoy their birthday. That bartender’s attitude single-handedly ruined the vibe of the night.
Won’t be coming back
Wouldn’t recommend to celebrate birthdays here. 60 bucks just on three drinks
Great local spot to watch a game or meet a friend
An absolute classic
Great local watering Hole. Super amazing service wonderful drinks and they have pop-up food out front that changes daily.
Awesome cocktails and super chill place
Great neighborhood bar! A perfect spot for a first date.

April 5, 2025 good selection of cocktails around $12. Awesome DJ set up.
The go to neighborhood bar. Always a great vibe, dog friendly, and good bartenders. Only wish is more beer options for the regulars.
Great people working here. It's a super cool/chill vibe and ditto for the clientele. A neighborhood jewel for sure!

Although it's clean in there and this place used to be my hangout, when I lived nearby I can say the Soul of this place is gone. I just visited for nostalgia purposes and ordered a Manhattan. The B-tender began to walk away, I asked about at least 2 kinds of Burbon, "No" and kept walking away. He went over and filled my glass with the pre-made item I said "what is this? He said, Oh I thought you wanted what was on the menu. Do you want to keep it open?" Before I could answer he walked away. I took 2 drinks from my glass and closed out. (It's uncomfortable, I'm blk he's white, you do the math 🤷🏾♀️. That's that for me, I won't be back.😎🫡✌🏾

Far and away my favorite bar in the Town. The space flexes for all occasions. I’ve found myself here to work, dance, day drink, wedding after party and everything in between. The drinks are for real delicious and everyone is friendly and welcoming. 6 stars.
