Royal Kitchen is truly a hidden gem in the East Bay .. freshly cooked, authentic Indian food that instantly feels like home. The egg curry is a rare and absolute standout, and hands down some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

Don’t let the location deter you too much because the food here is excellent, their chicken tikka masala is always superb and they prepare okra the best of any Indian restaurant I’ve had it at. The service is always friendly and polite and the restaurant interior is nice. I happen to work nearby and my colleagues and I come here once in a while or order takeout.

Royal Kitchen in Oakland is a great find for authentic Indian food. The flavors are rich, the spices perfectly balanced, and the portions generous. From biryanis to curries, every dish tastes freshly prepared and comforting. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is clean with a relaxed atmosphere. A dependable spot for flavorful, homestyle Indian dining.
