Good no-nonsense place for lunch near Oakland City Center. Not much in terms of atmosphere, but solid pho and vermicelli bowls at a decent price, reasonably fast. On my rotation of lunch spots.
Saigon Restaurant, delicious Vietnamese cuisine. I have tried few dishes and i must say this is one of my favorite Oakland locations for good Vietnamese classics - grilled pork vermicelli or over rice, imperial rolls, chicken curry. The Pho choices and combinations are endless, my favorite is beef flank steak, tendon and tripe. Reasonable prices, good service.
Best Vietnamese in Oakland, and the Bay Area. Clean, fresh, great service, and very accommodating, especially for vegetarians. Have been enjoying their delicious food since 1988. Yum!
