Such a cool bar it makes you feel like you’re on a beach and the bathroom art is amazing.

I love this place so much. Rain, shine, overcast, hot, cold, freezing. It does not matter. This place will make you feel happy and enjoying your yummy drink. Great place to have a low key night but also great to want to have fun. DJs on the weekend. One of my fave bars in Oakland. They have actual sand :)

Let me tell you about a Christmas place for adults. It's here. Like Ken said, "I just Beach." You can Beach here as you walk on real sand sipping the adult drink of your choice. They have separate rooms for you, your friends, etc and even a photo booth at $6.50 a sheet. Friendly bartender, fun decor. They have spiked hot cider and hot chocolate as well as your standard well drinks. Great place to celebrate you completing or not completing your Christmas shopping and talk about how fast this year has flow by.

Love this place for the vibe, owner and staff. Amazing drinks and friendly local spot to chill.

What an awesome bar! Where else downtown can you stroll across a floor covered in soft sand, be greeted by friendly staff, and enjoy a refreshing cocktail that refreshes you like a tropical beach? Definitely check this place out, and be sure to try the Yay Breeze!

Sand Bar was a lot smaller than expected, so it didn't work out for our group, but it's cute! The real sand inside was not expected as I didn't do any research prior to going. Music is good and service was friendly. We didn't stay long as we were just a big party. They don't serve Hennessy VSOP, so we had to order regular henny shots.

Very very cute bar! Went on a Saturday night with a friend. The vibe was friendly and the bartenders were very fast and nice. The DJ was great; the music was Afrobeats/Reggae/Amapiano, so very chill. We ordered two different drinks, which were very good (can't remember the names). My friend got a drink with gin which is better than the version with tequila. There's a lot of seating and space to move around. Definitely will be coming back!

Definitely here for the island vibes. I'm not local anymore, but this would definitely be a go-to bar for me. Love the decor and ambiance. I tried the rum punch and really liked it. I haven't had one in a while, but no complaints - it was sweet but balanced. The have other classic cocktails you find at Caribbeans spots (like a dark & stormy) and beers like Red Stripe. There was LOTS of seating. The space is huge. It would be cool if they could get a pop up kitchen here and serve some food. That was the only thing missing that I would have liked. Bathrooms were clean also

I had been dying to come here for a while now so it worked out that we were wandering around Broadway looking for a drink and I happened to spot the cute outdoor parklet belonging to Sand Bar. The decor is eclectic to say the least. I think it's pretty cool that there is actually sand on the floor and the furniture is really random as if someone just scavenged stuff off a beach. My drink was good, the music was good and the vibe was good. I would definitely go back.

Chill spot to kick it…awesome DJ with Reggae tunes. I finally tried the famous “gorilla milk” and it was worth the hype.

Interesting theme for a bar not on a beach but it sort of works. It would work as a bar crawl stop or a decent themed night out spot

Great, no complaints! I ordered the gorilla milk (double) and it was so strong that I couldn't finish it! I blame the salad I had for dinner. Bartender was nice and welcoming. My friend ordered the bay breeze, which tasted refreshing. I'd definitely come again and would order the bay breeze for a warmer weather drink. Quite a lot of space, some quieter spots in the back for bigger groups. I liked the sand, and cute decor, really transports you to a beach place.

Fun place with a nice rum selection. Hasani was at the bar the night I went and he was really thoughtful and helpful. Great place to watch a game and their drinks are fun. They have a blended one called Gorilla Milk that would be excellent on a hot night
