Food fell short, service was slow (but they were very busy) and the prices were too high. My molcajete was waaaayyy too salty, insanely salty, and all of the seafood was rock hard because it got super overcooked in the hot stone bowl. It was also really oily. I didn't expect it to be like a boiling hot thick soup, I thought it would be grilled seafood, so I guess I just ordered the wrong thing (although the description didn't mention this thick sauce/soup). I asked for tortillas instead of tostadas and it took them about 15 mins and being asked twice to bring them. Everybody was halfway done before I could start. Long after we were done eating, we finally got somebody's attention to ask for the check, but it was never brought. We had to go inside and wait at the cash register to get the check. They also charge for chips and salsa, and what you pay for is a really skimpy portion and the chips are store bought. My boyfriend got ceviche and said it was the worst he has ever had, he left more than half on the plate. He said it was super super sweet, as if it was just fish covered in ketchup (he got ceviche, not coctel). It was also strange that they served the coctel on a plate in spite of how soupy it was. The plate was overflowing with liquid. Our mom got the mojarra frita and said it was really good. Our bill for lunch for three was $140.

I came here for lunch with my parents and they charged us $50 on top of our total bill. They do mention that there is a 4% charge if your paying with card, which should have been around $5 for us, but they charged us $50. We didn't notice this until checking the card statement. PLEASE BEWARE!! The food is mediocre and you can find much better elsewhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Super authentic! The mariscos are fresh and delicious! We come here a lot for the camarones culichi! They serve you pretty fast and the outside dinning area is super cute!

This has been our go-to neighborhood restaurant all through the pandemic, since they have a nice enclosed seating area reclaimed from the parking lot. That said, if you're driving leave the aircraft carrier-sized ride behind unless you're going to park on the street, since the parking lot is now pretty narrow in a couple of places. But most importantly, the fish tacos. The grilled fish is actually kind of superior to the fried, which is surprising, but the bevy of toppings (lettuce, tomato, salsa verde, pink mayo) means that crunch is only there for a couple of bites, but the succulent texture of the grilled fish lasts all the way through. Maybe the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. It's not on the new menu, but they have kept serving their wonderful molcajetes rojas, which are pretty much my platonic ideal of molcajetes - chips that keep their crunch, and thick, spicy sauce. The servers are always pleasant, but the inside gets pretty busy in the evenings, so you might have to go inside to pay.

Pero no solo eso el ambiente horrible, insalubre gente durmiendo en las bancas del Restaurant los padres no cuidan a sus hijos y corren por todo el Restaurant, gente comiendo sin zapatos mi familia y yo salimos de ese lugar súper disappointed. I live three hours from my mom, who's cooking I love, so when I feel like having some Mexican food with good flavor there's no where else I'd go. Besides a food truck down the street from where I stay if I don't feel like driving to East Oakland (from West Oakland). But overall, this is theee spot! Even if I just feel like having beans & rice, it hits. HIGHLY Recommend!

girl, this place is so good! i was craving a michelada and a shrimp cocktail and by the grace of god i found this place. couldnt be happier. only thing is i didnt have a lot of time so i rushed outta there but the food was phenomenal & service was on point. also the vibe. theres a juke box inside and there was a group of guys a couple tables away from us & my guys were requesting banger after banger. they were getting the peda started, iykwim. my bf and i were sitting outside and they got a nice little patio out there, no need to sit inside, its depressing. so live a little and have some mariscos!

I just moved to the neighborhood. We were looking for dinner and stopped here because of the bright lights -- and that it was open. HOLY MOLY. This was one of the best meals any of us have had in ages. Imagine delightfully fresh seafood, wonderfully spiced and plenty of it. Plus, their outdoor seating is charming. You don't feel like someone just strung up Christmas lights in a parking spot. Instead, there's a large patio in a lovingly cared for garden with fire pits. I think I've just found my new spot in my new hood!

Giving 3 stars because I actually enjoy their food is the poor customer service I just experienced. Went with my family and was charged more then what the bill showed. $506 was my total they charged $528. I'm not going to die over $22 but it's the principle behind it that's not ok. After I asked I was told "we charge interest for using card" first of all I was never told and second it was a debit not a credit. They ran it without my consent for something that was more then what I agreed to. Totally illegal. Guess the $67 worth of tips wasn't enough. Makes your business look really bad.
