Homey. Great service. Banchan all crunchy and given right away. I had rice cake bone broth and a delish seafood pancake. They have many healing soups. Im embarrassed i usually go get bbq and not tried these healing soups sooner. There are single folks and families alike! Love this place and cant wait to come back!

This is THE place for bone soup. None of that weak af diluted stuff you can get from wholefoods. I’m talking about full bodied collagen rich soup paired with a spoonful of perfectly cooked rice beading individually with fragrance for every bite. Try any menu item with Gomtang for the bone soup. Do ask for the hot barley tea

The restaurant has a spacious setting, and the food is decent with generous portion sizes. However, it's a bit pricey compared to other nearby options.

Best Korean food in the neighborhood! Their signature soups & hot pots are SO filling, warming, & delicious. Highly recommend the Yuggaejang & Gamjajeongol, but everything I’ve gotten there has been amazing & their kimchi is the best. If you’re ever feeling under the weather, the Samgyetang will heal you right up!

I moved to Oakland from NYC last year and I’ve been looking for a Korean restaurant that gave me all the feelings of home. Seoul Gomtang is everything I could’ve asked for and more. The menu focuses on home style cooked Korean dishes that are not readily available at other restaurants where typically they cater to those searching for BBQ. Service was wonderful and the taste of the food immaculate. I’ll definitely be going back. I am very glad to have happened upon this gem of a restaurant. 감사합니다 ?

Specializing in Korean soups, milky bone broth is their namesake and forte.

Mul Naengmyun, buckwheat noodles served in ice cold beef broth with sliced radish, cucumber and pear make for a refreshing meal. Make sure to add in vinegar and mustard to taste.

For hot-cold combo, order with some Kalbi (marinated and grilled short ribs) — a practice popularized in LA Koreatown, now widespread.

chicken stew was incredible!! chicken was incredibly flavorful and the carrot was probably the best carrot i had in my life. can’t remember it’s official name but it’s the far right column in the special section, the chicken stew.

LOVE their food and services. Its traditional/ classic korean food. My relatives (make traditional korean food) and friends also like this place.Especially there is a parking lot! There are good hangover fix and yummy dishes. Menu is simple but their specialized items (SOUP) is worth the $ and drive.
