I love this place. It's homey, good portion sizes, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Good gluten free and meat free options.

The food is really good. The staff is super nice but the service is not highly efficient. Some long pauses occur throughout your dining experience, but in the end- it is totally worth it.Also worth noting that the patron created bustle is loud enough to make it difficult to chat across the table.

Wow wow wow not enough good things to say! The food was amazing! I was so impressed with the quality of the ingredients! I thought I did not like dates but the dates I had with the fruit plate were a delight to my taste buds! Same goes for the blood orange and grapefruit! Sequoia has a small town diner vibe with the excellent service to go with it! Can't wait to go again!

Small, delicious diner. Plenty of food options, fast, friendly service. Make sure to try their biscuits.

We were highly disappointed in the food and the bill; my american breakfast was ok. the potatoes were shoe-stringy instead of country potatoes; the biscuit was very small and bland; the bacon was good but we were charged two different prices for the bacon on each order; there is a 20% uncharge for labor which seems high; poor quality food;

Embarking on my friend Phil's breakfast recommendation led us to an outstanding experience at this establishment. The moment we stepped in, we were met with exceptional hospitality and an atmosphere brimming with positive vibes. The staff demonstrated remarkable service, and much credit goes to the manager, Jaz, who not only sets a delightful tone but also exhibits expertise in running a well-established venue. Conversations with her added to the overall charm. In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed this place and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a harmonious blend of good vibes and delectable food! ?

My first time at Sequoia Diner wasn't great. We were told it would be a 25-minute wait, but it turned into an hour. Then, after finally getting seated, we waited another 45 to 50 minutes for our food. The food was okay, but I probably wouldn't come back for just regular diner stuff. Overall, the food's alright, but the service is super slow.

Staff is lovely, vibes are immaculate, breakfast is the best I've had around here. The potatoes are always crispy, the coconut Thai iced tea is epic, and the house made hot sauces and pastries are excellent too.

Loud, & busy, but a good place to eat. Parking was a bit dicey... the Corn beef hash was really tasty.

Had to wait a bit to be seated, but finally got a nice window table in the front. Food was good and served pretty quickly. Menu is a mix of healthy options and comfort food. They have a Turmeric Tonic that’s very refreshing and delicious ??Parking: Parked around the block and it was super easy.

This is my go-to spot for breakfast! Sequoia is such a gem in our community. When a restaurant attracts a diverse clientele of all ages, you know they are doing something right. The food is well sourced, and the seasoning is always perfect! I love the arugula that served with many of the breakfast dishes and the flavor hits without a doubt! However, the prices are not cheap but you getvwaht ypu pay for and the tip is included. If you want to see the face of Oakland and enjoy a breakfast that takes all pallets into consideration, even vegans, run don't walk to Sequoia!

Cool bar, great food, nice service! Love this local place. The breakfast sandwich is my favorite so far, on a biscuit, yum

Now this is my kind of diner! Thoughtfully crafted comfort food in a bustling, welcoming environment. My dining companion and I shared the corned beef hash and the biscuits and gravy. Both were incredible. I appreciated that both dishes came with small sides of vegetables, helping to balance what are typically heavy breakfast foods. Perfect crisp on the hash browns, which mix shredded potatoes with some chunkier bits. The biscuits are out of this world! Solid drip coffee and the turmeric tonic was delightfully refreshing. I look forward to returning. Worth the wait!
