Sfizio is a new restaurant located in a cozy space, previously occupied by Noodle Theory. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal casual/nice date spot. The menu changes daily, with a few consistent items such as spaghetti and meatballs and salad options.
The food at Sfizio is excellent, and the quality and care are evident in each dish. The spaghetti and meatballs are divine, and the charred broccoli is flavorful and fresh. The seafood pasta is rich and complex, and the hand-made noodles are a nice touch. The trumpet mushroom tagliatelle is also a popular choice, perfectly seasoned. However, some may find the white miso cacio e Pepe too salty.
The service is excellent, and the staff is attentive to customers' needs. However, ordering at the counter can be a bit confusing as it can be unclear who to ask questions to. The seating arrangement is a bit cramped, making it difficult to have a private conversation. Despite the small size, the restaurant gets crowded quickly, and it can be challenging to hear each other over the noise.
The prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the portions served. The desserts, such as the pannacotta with pistachio brittle and a float of olive oil, are not to be missed. Overall, Sfizio offers excellent food, but the atmosphere could use some improvement for a better dining experience.
