I wasn't really a fan of the Cod fish dish. The portion was small, the sauce was quite spicy and lacked flavor. Honestly, I found it a bit confusing—just a small Cod fish on top of some spicy sauce. On a positive note, the service was good.

I visited Sirene on 4 occasions during my last visit to Oakland (only 48hours!) Each time was great in its own right. From excellent specialty coffee and breakfast/lunch fare, with a mix of self service made easy and convivial. At dinner gets even better - exotic and exquisite food and wine (what a list! Even by glass), well portioned and presented, all paired up with excellent service from David - guiding you from food through wine and sequencing it all for ultimate delight. A piano which a patron played on during my last lunch made it all the more memorable. A must try neighbourhood gem!

Went after a movie at Grand Lake. Didn't have a reservation so sat in the back bar area which we thought was fun. Had cocktails, appetizers, bread and shared a main course. Will definitely return.

Love the cafe in the morning - it is my favorite place in all of Oakland to get a delicious coffee and spend time working on something. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great pastries, and plenty of seating

Sirene is one of my favorite new(ish) restaurants in the bay! As an S.F. resident this spot is always worth the drive but I suggest brining a designated driver cause the wine list is off the charts! Come hungry and save room for dessert.

This is a great place to come during the day for a coffee/pastry/light lunch. They make their pastries in house and they are 10/10 good. Great service and attention to detail. Highly recommend

Fantastic food - and the chefs also give back! They work with Sprouts Chef Training program to teach youth the basics of cooking as a career.

Be sure to try the gnocchi with lemon lest

We had dinner at Sirene last night for our wedding anniversary. It was the fourth time we’ve dined there, and every time it’s just fantastic. From the subtle and fabulous Black Cod, to the seasonal appetizers ( last night - heirloom tomatoes with melon in a gazpacho marinade) to great desserts- you can’t go wrong. Our server Nicki was knowledgeable and fun! We usually enjoy the expertise of their wonderful sommelier, but last night we brought our own wine - the same we drank at our wedding. They graciously comped the corkage for our anniversary! Not requested or expected but such a sweet gesture. Whether it’s dinner with friends, a romantic dinner, or tea and pasties with a girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon, Sirene is the new favorite hangout. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
