I wasn't really a fan of the Cod fish dish. The portion was small, the sauce was quite spicy and lacked flavor. Honestly, I found it a bit confusing—just a small Cod fish on top of some spicy sauce. On a positive note, the service was good.
I visited Sirene on 4 occasions during my last visit to Oakland (only 48hours!) Each time was great in its own right. From excellent specialty coffee and breakfast/lunch fare, with a mix of self service made easy and convivial. At dinner gets even better - exotic and exquisite food and wine (what a list! Even by glass), well portioned and presented, all paired up with excellent service from David - guiding you from food through wine and sequencing it all for ultimate delight....
Went after a movie at Grand Lake. Didn't have a reservation so sat in the back bar area which we thought was fun. Had cocktails, appetizers, bread and shared a main course. Will definitely return.
