Pizza is excellent. Divine. Perfection. Thin cripsy crust, excellent cheese and toppings. It's clearly derived from the cheeseboard concept (the Berkeley co-op cheese store/pizzeria), but they have some additional menu items so you have a little more than one pizza option each day. They also have a couple of delicious dipping sauces. I highly recommend the green sauce. I think it's cilanto basil, but whatever it is, it's heavenly!Ambience is a little bit "chainy" feeling, and they were playing "pop country." Whut? No big deal. I didn't even notice it for a while, but once I hear something I can't un-hear it.

Another offshoot of the original sliver, another pizzeria bearing the DNA of Arizmendi And cheese board pizza from Berkeley.Wasn't a huge fan of today's pineapple option, but the pizza made it bearable. I did notice that this pizza was kind of chewy, and didn't have the crispy bottom that it does at some of the other stores, but they're still getting things ironed out I guess. As usual the people that work there were really kind, Aunt I really like the cozy Booth layout of this particular Montclair location. It also doesn't offend me that there's a gelato bar in this pizzeria.Definitely glad that there's a place to get a slice in Montclair, and the fact that it is next to a Pete's coffee makes it even better. Coffee and pizza is the ultimate power lunch for summertime. Also at two slices for under $10 and that includes a tip is a great deal these days.

Our pizza was completely raw throughout the middle, when asked if we could get it put back in the oven for a few minutes we were told they couldn’t do that and that they could make us a new one but it would still come out exactly the same… they also wouldn’t give us any ranch when we asked. Besides being raw, the flavor of the pizza was mediocre, but the waffle fries and sorbet were delicious. Overall I wouldn’t go back except maybe for the fries.

Eduardo and team are the nicest people. I'm so glad a Sliver opened close to us because we've always loved their pizza - especially since Arizmendi is a bit far and Cheeseboard is often too busy. The pizza style mirrors the vegetarian options from the other local co-ops down to the delicious green sauce. We've had nearly every type of pizza on the menu (potato is my favorite, corn is my wife's favorite), but don't sleep on the baked veggies. We often order in store, which has given us the opportunity to meet the team and get a few extras every once in a while. After the rush this week, their team surprised us with a few extra slivers and a chocolate chip cook!

I just love this place!!! Normally I frequent the Capitol location, but happened to be in the area and I brought a friend...who isn't vegetarian...to try it! She loved it...we ordered a whole POD...and she absolutely loved it. We shared a salad...and took the left overs to another non vegetarian friend...who loved it! I love sharing my good food adventures...and I have shared Sliver with many non vegetarian friends...and not one has said they wouldn't come here again! Winning!!!! And the staff is great too!!!

Seriously do not understand this place. Ordered a couple slices of the pizza of the day. Some vegetables and corn. It was a goopy, oily, undercooked mess. The crust has no structure. And their schtick is they give you three slices of this awful pizza when you order two. Whoopee. Another puzzling miss for Montclair. Why can't we have nice things here?!

We are thrilled to have a gourmet pizza place in Montclair village. We often order the mushroom pizza and also the pizza with corn. We love how we don't have to wait until a particular day of the week to order gourmet mushroom pizza like at other pizza places. The staff is super nice. They offer complimentary cilantro lime sauce to pour all over our pizza slices. It's so tasty and adds an extra dimension to the pizzas!

Not Great for vegan pizza. Competitors Arizmendi and Dimond slice both use butcher's son cheese, while Sliver uses Follow your heart brand chemical sludge which even my 3 year old wouldn't choke down. As other reviewers have mentioned, the dough on our pie was soft and undercooked. At $28 before tax with no option to purchase vegan pies by the slice or by the half, it also clocks in as the most expensive of the sourdough vegan pies. Also, even though the vegan pies are made to order, you will be charged $2 extra per topping for anything you ask to swap out. The dining room is nice and it's convenient to the Montclair Farmer's market, but we won't be dining there again. A few suggestions which might change our minds: -Switch to Butcher's Son or Miyoko's vegan cheese which is made of food vs chemicals -Allow vegan pizza to be purchased by the slice or half pie -If you insist on forcing vegan patrons to pay extra and order a whole pie, at least allow topping substitutions without an upcharge.

Thought I'd give it another try since I didn't like it the first time. Mistake, pizza is meh, undercooked veggies but I'll admit the crust is good. Biggest problem with this visit was the counter person didn't wash their hands between the cash register and food. It wasn't like she was using a spatula for everything, she was putting her hands into a container and hand sprinkling parsley with no gloves and going back to the register and touching cards and cash. I sent my order back because of that and she complied with my request but it's a serious food safety violation they should be aware of. That's a huge strike in my book, I wish it was better...

Used to go to the one in Berkeley when I was going to BCC- love Sliver's! Especially their cilantro lime sauce combo, YUM. Happy to know that there's one in Montclair Village now. The place was clean and tidy, and the staffs were friendly. We didn't order the pizza of the day, instead we got a whole corn pizza, so we waited for about 10 minutes. It was delicious as I remembered it and I will be back to get the mushroom one next. Thanks!

What a welcome addition to Montclair Village. I've been a regular at several other Sliver locations around Berkeley and Oakland, but these folks are the friendliest by a long shot. The pizza-of-the-day is always fantastic, with seasonal ingredients, but the thing that sets them apart from the other Sliver locations is that you can order other pizzas everyday, such as their corn & pasilla pepper, mushroom, etc. Last night, I ordered their party salad along with several pizzas, and that was a huge hit as well.

Delicious! I'll be going back. Looking forward to trying all their pizzas.
