I just started going to this place to see the Comedy Oakland acts. What a cool place. If you haven't been you should go check it out. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. We all should support this business. From owner to staff to comics they put out a real good vibe. It's an enjoyable night out.

Good vibes, decent drinks, quality food. It's been around long enough now that's I consider it an Oakland classic.

We originally went here because we had a brunch coupon and we enjoyed our meal. We decided we wanted to come back for dinner sometime. My spouse ended up having my surprise birthday party here. I had a great time. The staff is very nice and friendly and the food was great too! We will be going back to try their pulled pork sandwich.

Attended the Oakland Comedy show here held upstairs at the Spice Monkey. It's a small intimate venue and the food was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend the Vietnamese chickenballs and the blacked wedges, however at $10 I felt the wedges were somewhat overpriced. The cocktails were really strong. It was alcohol mixed with alcohol! You many need a soft drink to mix it with.

Good service from wonderful folks. It's been a minute since I went by but, as I recall, I found it difficult to find something on the menu that seemed appetizing. Nothing bad but nothing appealing to my taste (sorry I can't be more specific.)

My experience is just based on the takeaway service; I live one block away and arrived to pick up my order before it was done, and still the food was all cold somehow. The flavours weren't great either: the guac only tasted of lime and the chicken sandwich was incredibly dry. I did like the falafel and street tacos (even though they were cold).

Won't go back for the food, the buns of the chicken sandwich where stal and the chicken was dry. You expect more then something that taste like days old food when you pay what they are asking for.

This spot is great! Reasonable prices, large dishes and the employees are always helpful.
