We happened to be right in this Museum of American History at lunch time, so instead of leaving and coming back, we just decided to stay and enjoy our meal in their basement café. Although the prices were above average, there were plenty of good choices for all palates and all diets – Salads, Burgers, Tacos, Chicken Tenders, Egg Rolls, Pizzas Bottled Water and Sodas, and even Desserts. The museum is free and one of the most popular and favorite attractions in D.C., but my advice is that if you want to eat in the building, either bring a fat wallet or bring your own food. I passed on the peanut butter and jelly sandwich for $7 in favor of the salad bar, but ended paying $12 for a bottle of water, a very tiny amount of salad and a few pieces of fruit. I can't imagine if you are a family of three or four that you would be spending over $50. At least bring...
