I didn't know that this is a chain after I wrote the wrong review. It's a 4 minute drive from my gym in Oakland and yesss! I love this place. It's a smaller coffee shop than the one in Berkeley but this location is also a charmer. Its more quiet since they have an outdoor patio. Their oat milk is still on the counter(no extra charge). Today I tried, their almond croissant and i think I found my new favorite pastry.

Came here with a friend to grab some coffee/pastries and to catch up. I had a great experience here and highly recommend this place. Surprisingly there are two locations (very close by each other). This location serves toast while the other (also much smaller) doesn't. I got a vanilla latte and the cashew butter toast. There was only one person working there whose name is Lore and he was amazing. The art he did on the cashew butter toast made it look so beautiful it was difficult to eat it! He was also very nice and great to have a conversation with. Highly recommend this place because of the great service and their coffee/toasts are bomb.

Fantastic coffee and the female employee who took my order was very sweet. No breads sold in Monday or Tuesday. Will return.

Place literally only sells coffee and bread. But when I order the coffee they are always out and have to brew more. Takes like 15min. Slow as hell. Just call the place 'bread' if that's all ya got.

Great experience at my quick drop by. The staff member was super friendly and helpful since it was my first time. I got a cappuccino ($4), chive onion cheddar scone ($4.5), and chocolate chip cookie ($4.5). Cappuccino was standard; scone was pretty flavorful with plenty of onion powder - crisp on outside and soft on the inside; cookie was very thick and chewy, almost like a cake. I enjoyed everything but the price of the baked goods is on the higher end. Next time I'll have to get bread! Street parking only based on what I saw.

UPDATE 10/09/2021: this place is *CLOSED* until further notice. I've tried coming here a few times over the past week and they were mysteriously closed during their normal business hours. I walked down to their other location on 40th and inquired about the closure of the other place. An employee said that they're short-staffed, so this location is closed until they figure out their staffing situation.Otherwise, their bread is pretty good (but very limited) and their iced coffee is good.

I love this place for all the reasons: Vibe, taste, friendly staff, BREAD! I get the sourdough country pan shape loaf almost weekly now, and it stays moist until the last slice (days of deliciousness). The banana bread is also excellent. The coffee is a darker roast, which is good and I think generally more popular than my favorites (fruity, bright tasting beans like Ethiopian). All in all, you will be happy walking out of this place with something.

Stumbled upon this place on a Saturday morning. 5/5 for the delicious and smooth oat milk latte and very kind staff!

I was curious to try this place because it always has a line outside in the mornings! Hot cocoa and banana bread were good but not great. I'd certainly come back but this won't be my go to spot.

Such incredible coffee. Both the vanilla latte and honey latte are so good, if you want something a little more natural and less sweet definitely go with the honey.

Baristas make a bomb coffee. Nice folks in and out quick.

This place was really good and your first drink is free if you check in and show them on Yelp! I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was delicious. We also bought a baguette which was four dollars and we found that pretty reasonable and it was very soft yet crunchy and fresh. Will definitely be returning when we're in the area!

Good coffee. Great baristas. The person at the register was biting her nails then touched my cup all over and also touched the rim of the oat milk container. Normally not too big a deal but these days?
