Their cuisine carries a sense of home, you can truly taste the care, passion, and dedication they put into selecting their ingredients. The final surprise was incredibly thoughtful. Exquisite. Heartfelt. What a lovely and amazing dining experience. I loved everything about it - the chefs, their two lovely staff, the level and quality of the music, the persimmons drying suspended by string, the food! the wines!

I feel so lucky that we were able to get a reservation on our actual anniversary given the small number of tables available each night. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish from the simple clean decor of the space to the personalized touches of the service. The chefs and staff were very kind and attentive. Each course was delectable and beautifully presented. I loved the surprising fries basket that came at the end of our meal. I was so full when I left. They even gave us a small bread to take home for the next day.

The owners and chefs, Alan and Sarah, prepared an amazing and well thought out course for my girlfriend and I the night we dined with them! The wait staff was extremely attentive and the ambiance was relaxed but elevated. They also get bonus points for making the experience even more special by providing a slice of Yuzu pie to celebrate it being my girlfriend's birthday!

Wonderful food. Great service. It was our first anniversary and had reservations at 5 pm. There were 4-5 tables that were reserved and, at the time we were there, we were the only ones there. Service was personable. Everyone was attentive to our needs. We were able to bring our own wine ($30 corkage fee). From start to finish every dish blew our minds. I always have a fear with tasting menus leaving me hungry, but not here. Our bellies (and hearts!) were full. We will definitely come back for more!
I have eaten at several restaurants around the world, and Sun Moon studio places in the top 10 of the meals I've ever had, and the best meal I've had in the Bay Area. Every dish was perfectly executed and the cadence of the meal was seamless. Each dish was a highlight and I could not pick a favorite one. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this meal was. Atmosphere is very cozy, only 4 tables in the restaurant. Would definitely come back if I can manage to get another reservation.
