Small cute Bakeshop !! This was my first stop right after I was discharged from the hospital. I heard about the wonderful treats and so glad a made it before they closed ! Clean, cute displays of the items. Friendly service no cash all card which is super convenient. Everything I tried was amazing : banana creme pie with chocolate crust , raspberry mochi cupcake, popcorn !! I will be returning to try more items but everything was a hit !

ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! I got so many goodies from here: a red velvet white rabbit cookie, brown butter chocolate chip cookie, earl grey tart, ube twice baked, strawberry matcha croissant, and pandan popcorn. They were all literally amazing. Everything was unique but executed so well. The cashier really helped us decide which ones we wanted, giving us feedback and opinions which was great or else we would've left with one of everything. It's a super cute and minimalist shop, right next to Boba Guys which is pretty perfect if you ask me. There weren't any long lines, surprisingly, but as we were leaving a couple more groups came so there's definitely business even during the odd hours. We also went on a weekday around 12 so some items were sold out already, but not enough to feel limited.

Cute little bakery shop tucked away on College Ave. Exceptionally well crafted desserts. I mostly enjoyed the earl gray tart. Well balanced with earl gray tea flavors. We tried a couple of their other desserts and also well made. My only downside is I wanted to try the banana cream pie, however missed the ordered when I asked. I will for sure return to try their other delicious recommendations

Saturday 2024/03/02 13:00: - croissants and classic baked goods with Asian-inspired flavors - excited to go back in the future to try more of their many options - I ordered take-out in person Strawberry Matcha Croissant ($6.50): "Filled with a matcha pastry cream, topped with Strawberry cream cheese frosting, Mango Bergamot gel and white chocolate pearls." - huge croissant with very generous amounts of both matcha filling inside and strawberry cream on top; I don't recommend eating this on your own in one sitting like I did since I felt a little sick after - strawberry cream cheese was a little too sweet, especially with the addition of the mango gel - I felt the mango flavor was overpowering and didn't work well with matcha and strawberry - matcha cream was delicious but would be better with a stronger matcha flavor - croissant itself was soft and bread-y, more like a cream puff dough than a pastry dough

I had Sunday Bakeshop bookmarked for a few years after seeing the tasty looking pastries in my Yelp feed. My mom and I came here after lunch at Becky's for some pastries to take home. There were a few people ahead of us but it wasn't out the door as other Yelp reviewers mentioned. So maybe waiting to try this bakery when it's been open for a few years isn't a bad thing? Since it was our first time, we had the chance to look at the menu. When it was our turn, I asked the employee her opinion on the twice baked ube croissant. Thanks to her recommendation, and my love of ube, I ended up getting it! In addition to the ube croissant, I got the Thai tea mochi muffin. The Thai tea mochi muffin has the softness and chewiness one would expect in a mochi muffin. Most importantly, the Thai tea flavor is evident. The ube croissant is flaky and the filling is not overly sweet. As someone planning to apply to medical school, maybe I should get the jar on the right. Love that they have dog treats as my mom plans to bring her pup here once the pup is more trained on the leash. I will definitely be back to try more pastries!

Delicious pastries with unique Asian flavors like White Rabbit, ube, and pandan. Staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have about the menu. They tend to have low stock later in the day so be sure to go early if you want to try all their offerings! Price point is a little expensive but worth it due to its uniqueness.

Excellent bakery with delicious, beautifully produced pastries and cookies. Highly recommend the custard topped, strawberry jam filled pastry and the Ube croissant. The matcha cream filled pastry was a little overwhelmed by the sweetness and abundance of the topping, but if you have a sweet tooth like me, it's heaven. The flavor of the topping was still very good and it looked gorgeous! My husband was disappointed by the ham and cheese croissant and said he thought it could have used a little more filling. If you are familiar with Bake Sum on Lakeshore, you will know what to expect in terms of flavors, textures and types of pastries available.Parking can be tricky in this neighborhood but side streets are a good option.Parking: Use side streets

Unique pastries with an Asian twist. The atmosphere is aesthetic and clean. The place is geared towards younger crowd with their cute decor for social media postings. I felt a little rushed since their was a line behind me and I couldn't take a good look at the items available so I grabbed a few that caught my eye. Pastries are cute but I have had better pastries elsewhere.

Highly recommend the char siu danish. If you get it warmed up though just be careful it started to leak into the bag. Everything was so flakey and delicious.

Really great and unique pastries with Asian flavors. Ordering was easy and I liked that everything was displayed and labeled clearly to make ordering easier because you will be having choice paralysis.Croissants - really good! They also sell baked goods from Neighbor Bakery, so 2 birds with one stone. Both the Ube and Pistachio twice-baked croissants were excellent and had the nice almond topping that I love. The pastry was delicious, well-laminated, and good quality - better imo than the pastry from Neighbor Bakery which is also excellent.I loved the passion fruit madeline and finacier here. Both high-quality and well-flavored versions.-----My nitpicks - I've tried a lot of pastries b/c we're so lucky in the Bay in the wealth of excellent options, so the opinions below are personal and subjective to my taste preferences! Better to try for yourself and decide :).The flavoring/filling could be slightly more generous in my opinion and wasn't strong enough flavored for my palette. The ube flavoring could also be stronger, though in general most of the Ube items in the Bay tastes watered down in the same way that matcha does, so I won't be ordering this one again. The pistachio had a nice layer of raspberry jam that complimented well with the pistachio, but again I wish there was a bit more filling to croissant ration, and that the pistchio cream tasted more strongly of pistachio. The mochi cakes were not my favorite renditions of mochi cakes because of their consistency, harder and less flavorful than Third Culture or CA Bakehouse. The thai tea flavor was too weak for my palette, in general I do wish the Asian flavor profiles were stronger.I also got a strawberry/matcha cube pastry from Neighbor Bakery. The strawberry and matcha cream was generous and well-balanced. I loved the flavor of the strawberry cream, it tasted like real strawberries. The croissant itself was not as umami as Sunday Bakeshop though. Appreciated being able to do a taste test side by side.I want to caveat this review with the fact that Bay Area baking is really top-notch, I was shocked to discover that in Europe and other places in the states pastries rarely stand up to even our middling offerings, so my nit-pickyness is subjective to the high bar that the bakers have set in the area. Thank you for creating so many delightful things for us to try!------I also got a loaf of their black sesame kimchi sourdough which was excellent. The kimchi gave the bread a savory umami flavor profile I really enjoyed, and the sesame seed crust was generous and paired well with the flavor of the bread!

I had so much fun here and ordered way too much because everything is just so unique and different! If you're looking for unique pastries with Asian flavors, you came to the right place! Char siu croissant: 4/5 good flavor, never thought to combine char siu with flaky pastry yet here we are! It's a good fusion and unique pastry Mushroom tart: 5/5 surprise favorite, I loved the mushroom and cheese, great pastry! Strawberry bun: 4/5 tasted like strawberry pocky cream but I like that haha but it's a bit difficult to eat! Passionfruit guava bun: 5/5 also hard to eat but excellent curd, great flavor, star of the show for me! Oolong chocolate cake: subtle oolong flavor but a delicious small cake that was a great dessert at the end of the day! Chocolate Hazelnut Twice-Baked Croissant: 3/5 great flavor but actually a little almost dry? Maybe twice baked was too much for this one. Milk tea blondie was only okay. 2/5 More of a brown sugar caramel kind of taste rather than milk tea, so meh.

Absolute hidden gem. Every single thing I’ve eaten here has been incredible. I live nearby and try to stop in whenever they’re open. Highly recommend for sweet and savory Asian-inspired pastries! (And especially the ube croissant!) Oh and the owner is so chill & kind too.

I first visited Sunday Bakeshop almost two years ago and recently came back to the same pastries I've been craving ever since. Their fusion menu is so creative and staff very attentive and kind answering all questions. I highly recommend trying the kimchi corn cheese danish and the black sesame rice crispy that they offer. I can't wait to come back and try all the other options!

The best!

Finally writing this review ... the pastries are so unique and tasty and not what you'd expect. Note that some are savory like the char siu cronut. The lobby is spacious and each available item for that day is displayed in the case with the description. You place your order at the counter and the fresh items are stored in the trays in the backMy fav are white rabbit and ube snickerdoodle cookie
