I recently visited and was blown away by their incredible offerings. The black milk tea with boba was an exquisite blend of flavors that left me craving for more. The Hong Kong style milk tea was a delightful balance of sweetness, and the boba pearls were cooked to perfection – soft and chewy, enhancing the overall experience. What's even more remarkable is the affordability. Shockingly, Sweetheart Cafe offers their delectable treats at half the price compared to other places, like the one in Berkeley. So if you're in the mood for some top-tier milk tea without breaking the bank, this is the place to be!*THERE'S an exciting bonus for all Pokemon Go enthusiasts out there. Sweetheart Cafe offers a unique Pokemon Go Level Discount that truly sets them apart. As a long-time Pokemon Go Player, I never imagined I would get tangible benefits from my gaming passion. Here's how it works:Level 1-28 = 5% DiscountLevel 29-38 = 10% DiscountLevel 39-46 = 15% DiscountLevel 47-50 = 20% Discount

good boba, good drinks good snacks :) they forgot to add and charge for boba but added it in after. they were very honest with me on what they think would pair well together and others might think it’s rude but i appreciate the honesty.

If all you wanted is a great cup of boba, this is the place. Been coming here since 98' and have had tried many many boba shops in last 25 years. This place serves the best boba in Cali.

If you want a hot boba or Avocado smoothie, this is the spot. They even sell fried snacks. We have tried fried fish balls, curly fries, popcorn chicken and my fav curry fish balls. It's convenient for me to pick up some goodies for my kid to eat since it across from Chinese school. They even do a combo discount $1.00 off if you get a drink and $5 snack. Services is great. Would recommend.

My childhood boba spot, they also have another location in berkeley! Would always go here after school for bubble milk tea which was .99 cents back then. My favorites are the avocado smoothie with boba, watermelon slushie with lychee jelly, and their jasmine milk tea with grass jelly. I hope it stays open forever

Located slightly away from most of the action here in Chinatown, Sweetheart Café is nevertheless a nice option to have for lots of tea drinks and snacks on the cheap. The menu is positively encyclopedic, and I ended up choosing the taro milk tea which was refreshing and sweet, but not too much so, on a warm spring day. In addition to drinks, they have fried snacks like chicken strips, fish balls, and takoyaki, and even baked items and sweet treats. The venue is like a dingy Chinatown convenience store wth little room to sit inside, so grab tour treats to go and enjoy them while shopping in Chianatown or sitting at a nearby park.

Grew up going here and even with all the boba shops that have opened in chinatown since, Sweetheart is still my favorite place for Taiwanese popcorn chicken in chinatown! They are one of the few that include lots of fried basil with their chicken and it's always well seasoned and fresh. Their drinks may not be the fanciest in town nowadays, but everything is consistently good and the tapioca is always a nice texture (something that is trickier to find than one would think). Thank you Sweetheart Cafe for your many years(since 1996) of providing Oakland with delicious drinks and snacks!

The popcorn chicken is so good, that's why I always come back. I've been supporting for more than 10 years. The boss lady is so grumpy all the times, I always say thank you but she just doesn't say it back and have the same rbf.

Best boba ever! Not to sweet and the pearl has just the right buoyancy!! I favor the Thai tea but all the other options are just as good and I enjoy getting their popcorn chicken. Just the right spice and crisp every time!

Spot in Berkeley is usually really good! Ordered from their website around 5:15ish on a Friday and come to find out I put in a order at the other location by accident! ( I didn't know they had another location.) The guy rudely told me that I didn't order there and sent me to the Oakland location saying "it's off of Harrison not to far." so we head there and being that it's Friday at 5 of course there is some traffic took about 25 mins or so...only to find out they closed at 5:30. -_- Soooo no boba that night (lol) and out 28 bucks until I could get a refund from the website (which I had to download the app and send an email got it in 4days.) The right thing to do would've been to just make the order if it's close to closing at the other location but hey that's just my opinion. Anyways that's just one bad experience doesn't mean the place isn't good! I just won't order online anymore, in person orders only for me. Lol Pineapple smoothie is the way to gooo! :D

Delicious milk teas at reasonable prices. This is a historic shop that has been serving the community since 1996
