I’ve been on the hunt for the best al pastor tacos in the bay, and these have to be some of the best I’ve had! I really liked the Alambre version, but you can’t go wrong with the classic al pastor.

The best tacos I have ever had in the bay, hands down. They only do al pastor but it’s so good that I wouldn’t order anything else even if they had other options. The meat is extremely flavorful and a nice medium between tender and chewy. Try the gringas too, those are basically like a cross between a giant taco and a quesadilla. The salsas are amazing, especially the salsa verde, and the habanero escabeche is super spicy but has a fruity tartness that matches perfectly with the pineapple.

Service is basic but good. You order at the trompo then find a seat and they bring the food to you. The woman who was taking orders both times I’ve been was very nice and professional. It’s cash only, so come with that in mind.

Atmosphere is basic but nice considering it’s a stand set up on the sidewalk. There are big group tables so you’ll end up sitting with other folks, which makes the atmosphere convivial and feel kinda like a picnic.

All in all this place is amazing and I will be returning regularly as long as it’s around. They do catering and I’m considering asking them to do the food for my wedding.

Best Pastor I've had in the US so far. The people are super nice and low key.

Give the Gringa a shot if you can - you won't regret it.

Easier to park further down the street where there is a larger shoulder.

Proper al pastor tacos. Have been here several times and consistently good. Honestly the best al pastor I have tried in the bay area. These are the closest thing to what I would find in Mexico City. A simple stand on the side of the street, but always delivers.

Delicious and authentic tacos al pastor as God intended. I almost never order al pastor anywhere on this side since they don't match, no matter how crappy the place is, the flavor and texture of trompo al pastor tacos as they are known in Mexico. But by some miracle this place does manage to meet expectations. I plan to return. Some notes of interest: there are many other very good changarros around so come prepared to feed your belly and nostalgia, take home for the week. They are only open Friday to Sunday and not very late. They accept Zelle. Eat right there for the best experience. Delicious sauces. They give fines if you park in prohibited areas, don't trust them. Well, what are you waiting for???

I don't recommend these tacos because of their flavor, and there is nowhere to park and they are also very expensive.
