10/10 best tacos in Oakland, the best tacos in the Bay Area hands down. Might be the best tacos in California. Definitely recommend the pollo, asada and pastor. If you're lucky enough to catch a night with brisket definitely order it! Do you like cheese on your tacos? Look no further than the vampiro! It's a taco with a bed of grilled cheese to securely hold your meat to the tortilla. Oh you like tortillas?? Well guess what!? The best homemade flour tortillas! Also incredible tasting corn tortillas! Also are you or someone you know vegetarian, guess what? You guessed it! He's always got a vegetarian option! Lastly but not definitely not least, it's 1 guy! 1 person is creating all of these amazing flavors! Also I hear he's a big deftones fan.

What can I say except that these are probably the best tacos ever! My go-to is the vampiro tacos on amazing homemade flour tortillas with cheese grilled on, with filling of your choice. All fillings I've tried have been delicious - pollo, asada, al pastor, and chile verde are my favorites. I have never been able to take a photo because I immediately eat the tacos on the trunk of my car! Do yourself a favor and go, and you'll probably start going once a week like me!

Consistently some of the best tacos in the Bay. Every taco has depth of flavor that really shows the thought that goes in to every ingredient. Never had a dry or bland taco. You really can't go wrong with any of them. But if he's got the brisket available don't skip it. Plus he is a cool dude, dedicated to the craft and the culture. When you're at the truck you feel like you're a part of something special.

This man respects the craft of being a taquero. The tacos are off the charts delicious. I haven't got to try their Birria yet but I can say that their grilled meats are incredible. The asada, pollo and pastor have all been phenomenal especially when they are Al carbon (cooked over wood). Hand made flour tortillas, a must (something I can't find in the bay) They also do some vegetarian and possibly vegan options? Anyways be sure to follow their social media to find out where they are at! I constantly make the drive from 15 miles away for these tacos, I pass plenty of taco places along the way, nothing compares.

Delicious with excellent options! Get a vampire and anything that comes fresh off of the grill. A great food truck!

I think the carne asada and pollo asada are smoked w/ mesquite wood. In any case, they are very good. The flour tortillas are also exemplary.

I don't really write reviews, but I want everyone to know how good Tacos El Ultimo Baile is. Dom hands down makes the best tacos and more in the East Bay, and arguably the bay. His Al Pastor is superb (especially off the Trompo), the Carne Asada is tender and smokey, perfectly crispy chorizo, really all the meats are killer. Don't like meat? No problem, a lot of the times he has veggie options like Shiitake Mushroom tacos, Cauliflower Pastor, impossible "beef", even hibiscus. Not to mention the cheesy options of vampiros, or crispy lorenza tacos! I have eaten here almost weekly for over a year (sometimes more than once a week). One taco and you'll get it, crave it at weird hours of the day, and be thinking about the next visit before the last bite. I literally tell everyone I know about this food, and really hope to see a permanent spot one day, they deserve it! Dom is a friendly and passionate dude. Fern is chill and is always stoked to see you. Loyalty breeds loyalty. You can taste the dedication for the craft, and it makes all the difference. Follow their IG to stay up to date with when and where they will be as it changes, I recommend checking before going. Sometimes folks gotta take a day off. Oh, and GO A's.

I Just went there for the very first time. This is really not a review on the food itself, because I didn't have any. I just wanted to drop by and state that they do NOT serve burritos. That was disappointing. This business should make an effort to state that they no longer make burritos, just tacos and vampiros. The Yelp reviews and pictures mention and show burritos. Ok, so no burritos. I tried to get some tacos, but unfortunately I only had a $100 bill and he had no change, so no tacos, bummer. I don't blame him though. Hard to break $100 for a couple of tacos. Anyway. The lone person at the cart was cordial and polite. The location did smell good, I'm sure the grub is tasty. I'll make an effort to stop by and get some tacos in the future. I'm giving the location four stars due to the absence of burrito offerings. Peace. P.S. Oh, and for refreshments, only Jarritos sodas were available. It would be nice to have some Diet Coke, other types of drinks, and bottled water as well.

I'm a huge A's fan, I found him on players Instagram and viewed his page players and people alike raved about his home made tortillas and how delicious the food was, my wife and myself ventured out to Oakland to try the tacos, we were 100% not disappointed, meat was seasoned to perfection, hospitality was on point, very welcoming and food is made with passion and cares about his product, we will definitely be returning. Thank you Tacos El Último baile.

Found this gem via Instagram. Consistently amazing tacos- from the asada to chicken to vegan options, it all has unique and authentic flavors. I personally love the vampiros de asada with the spicy salsa. I've also been blessed to try fish tacos and were spectacular. He does one tortilla as standard, which I really enjoy. Don't miss out!

Does this spot have some of the best tacos in the Bay Area? Yes. Should you go in with that expectation? Listen, the man behind the scenes is an artist which means he experiments and takes risks. This can come at a price. Namely, consistency. But here, in Oakland especially, it takes balls to take risks in the land of food trucks, to venture from outside of what we know will sell to the masses for the pursuit of something more than just a carne asada taco. On this principle alone, I will defend this taco truck and dare even call it a hidden gem but only if you too come with an open mind and some patience. The menu can change on a given day; the short rib barrio, carnitas, pastor, and pollo are money. The tacos come optionally vampire style (fried cheese) and with handmade flour tortillas. Don't you dare even think about considering these as "options" and not absolute necessities. He also may have some "special sauce" which you have to ask for. It's complex, has a strong smokey flavor, flowery fruity notes and is the consistency of Chinese chili oil. The food being made here captures that attitude of Oakland that's sometimes hard to notice; creative, hard working, disruptive.ig: @moosestarreviews
