The Amplifier is a fantastic bar. We went for the Haunted Happy Hour, when they had a bunch of drink specials (with St. George's spirits), spooky music, and horror movies on the tube. It's go an excellent vibe, and drinks are surprisingly cheap for the Bay Area. It helps that the bartenders are friendly too. I'll be back.

My colleague and I left the office early and headed here. What a great HH spot. Drink specials (sadly, not on the wine), friendly staff and a cozy interior make this a spot I plan to revisit often. There are also a few tables outside if you're craving fresh air. Oh, and I love the paintings on the walls. Funky and fun.

It took me too long to come to this spot for the first time. I finally did last night. I love me some Heart & Dagger and this place has the same amazing prices, some cross-over bartenders and door staff, as well as a chill vibe - the AC helps with that as well! Check them out. You will not be disappointed. Take a few pics in the photo booth too, to seal your memories.

The drinks (beers/cocktails) are super cheap, they have DJs on the weekends and there's a TV so you can watch the warriors game there. Oh and it's dog friendly too. Only thing that could make it better is a patio.

I love it here! I will add more later but I just realized I never put words down. I am a harsh critic but this is my home bar. Read my other reviews if you want proof. Great bar staff and great ambiance and great price point. Cons: cash only Pros: the prices make up for the con. 5 stars. 'Nuff said. Ok, so adding more! Bar owner is very involved in making this a great place and it shows. Staff is all friendly and engaged. This bar is music focused but not live music. They have themes most nights, (90s alt night is the Thursday till 8 pm when it goes to a 70's night also good, one of my fave nights!) also they even have comedy on occasions. (They have a website, I hope it's up there, go look, yelp reviews are not a calendar people update) oh, and the drink specials are all signature to the bartender of the shift (again, high engagement level). Woot! I wrote more!

What an exciting addition to the neighborhood! I have been here three times since they opened last weekend and each time the bartenders have been friendly and efficient. A rare combo. The drink prices are super-kind to the wallet-- especially for the 4-6 Happy Hour. I discovered it's cash only, but they have an ATM. They seem to be following a music theme, with cool, vintage amps and music hardware decorating some shelves behind the bar. There is also a nice collection of concert posters from the Fillmore and Trocadero. Look out for the wonderfully bizarre and quirky illustrations of 70s musicians. The Joni Mitchell one is borderline hysterical and a personal fave. The bar is right next to the New Parish so the music theme makes perfect sense. I think they have DJs at Amplifier most nights too. Ooh!! They also have a photo booth! Next time I'm there, I plan on photo-documenting my fun through the night from sobriety to inebriation! Keep it up, Amplifier! Great stuff!
