Walked in and ordered the Bento House sushi roll and the garlic fried chicken rice bowl. The sushi was fresh and delicious! The chicken was good but just a tiny bit salty. Overall, I had a great experience ordering, interacting w the staff and the food was good. Would definitely recommend and order from here again.

The food was mediocre. I was surprised because there were some great reviews. In discussing my disappointment with coworkers who recently went there I heard the same sentiments - greasy and poorly flavored. Nonetheless, I rate the food 3/5. In regard to the atmosphere for such a small space, it felt like a safe place to eat. This for me is a 4.5/5. Where the place tanks is in the service. I ordered a plate during a time when it was not particularly busy. The host asked me to take a seat and then ignored me for 25 minutes. After all the other patrons left and to my surprise she inquired why I was waiting - she did not write down the order and had forgotten me. I waited for the food (yes, I was hungry), paid and tipped her (yes, I still tipped in hopes it would be great food). I rate this place a 1/5 for service and I hope you have a better experience.

I really love this little place. The waitress (I believe also the owner and chef) is super kind and friendly. The food is really tasty and the portions are quite substantial. Now.. is this the BEST bento in the Bay Area? No. It’s not. But it’s not trying to be. It’s tasty and quick and a great option for midday meals.I love the beef and chicken bulgogi equally and I always order with a beer. Not sure how but she’s got the coldest ever in Old Oakland.Also, beautiful orchids!!

this was my first time here! bc of covid they had to make a smaller menu and no longer do the veggie bento box, BUT the teriyaki tofu plate is amazing! the tofu is so buttery and the batter is crunchy, delicious ☺️

Horrible customer service over the phone. Hung up on me without confirming the I was done with my order. Then did it again a second time! Definitely wasn’t talking their ear off, less than 45 seconds between the two calls. I’ll spend my money somewhere else
