Spectacularly bad experience. Ordered through the Habit app and received a text proudly announcing my order was “ready.” Spoiler: it wasn’t. Not even close. They do contract their delivery to DoorDash. That’s where things failed. Multiple DoorDash drivers showed up and all of them cancelled because the order hadn’t been prepared at all. After wasting everyone’s time, DoorDash eventually cancelled. I tried calling the store to fix the issue and was greeted by an AI that couldn’t help and redirected me to the website’s “Contact Us” page because nothing says customer service like sending frustrated customers into an online black hole. If your app can’t tell the difference between “ready” and “not started,” and your phone line can’t connect to a human, something is deeply broken. Corporate systems failing customers at every step. Do better. Also, I still have no word about getting a refund from the store

I initially tried using the kiosk but couldn’t find what I needed, so I went to the counter for assistance. Unfortunately, the clerk was curt and unprofessional—never said thank you and came across as rude and dismissive. It’s frustrating to encounter this kind of superiority and lack of courtesy when you’re a paying customer. If customer service isn’t a priority, the business should consider operating as a fully self-service kiosk rather than offering counter service without basic professionalism. As I sat there waiting, I saw her interacting with other customers with a much more friendly demeanor. Maybe she didn’t like the color of my hat.

Habit is by far my favorite go-to vege burger spot. No matter when I visit all of the food is cooked perfectly. I’m impressed with how consistent the food is prospered. I enjoy cooking to a place that I can have my expectations consistently be met. The tempura green beans are yummy side to my vege burger (not beyond burger) and some fries 🍟.

Kiosks run the show now. Then ask for a tip prior to meal experience. Then you get notified by phone but with no food number. The server yells out a number but all the customers are confused because we don’t have one. Thennnnn the burger I got, the bun was poor quality like drywall. I’ve eaten at Habit for years and could rely on a good meal. This wasn’t the business today. Banana peppers are still delicious here.
