Popped in for a late lunch and it was delicious. The atmosphere is elevated but not fussy, and it was nice and cozy on a cold afternoon. Comfort foods like popovers, Brussels sprouts and Spanish octopus were all perfectly prepared. The salad was beautiful. Creative cocktails with a few non alcoholic options are also available. Service is polite and efficient. We tend to dine at odd hours so it wasn't crowded when we arrived but it was quite lively by the time we left.

Hands down one of the most pleasant dining experiences in the Bay Area. The food preparations are simultaneously homey and sophisticated, which is a lovely accomplishment. The ambience is perfect for an intimate dinner or even for a meal by one's self.

Consistently incredible. I love how the server can help create a singular taste experience for the entire meal. The Manhattan was amazing. The endive apple was completely unexpected. Delicious.

The food was not that good and crazy overpriced, but the service was especially awful. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone

Absolutely amazing food, service and atmosphere. The back area is a bit too bright though in my opinion. Dimmer ambient lighting would be better. Also, plan on $100-$150 per person with a tip and a drink.

We had a reservation to celebrate my moms birthday. The hostess was so friendly, and so where the other workers. Food was amazing too. I highly recommend the spanish octopus. It was AMAZING.

Gets very loud after 6:30 pm. Sound carries as one table gets loud, other surrounding tables match the decibels

Duck has been a staple on the menu (and at Bay Wolf) for decades. The duck dinner I had here was fantastic and will have me coming back. The restaurant itself is a beautiful craftsman home on Piedmont and remains a great choice for dinner in the area.

The food preparation and presentation was masterful! The brussel sprouts appetizer was delivered in a balsamic vinegar reduction (with a hint of honey?) and the tasty crusty bits were seared to absolute perfection. The service was first rate, ambiance was lively but not loud, and all of our dishes exceeded our hopes. Will definitely be back!

Didn't get our drinks until 30 minutes after we were seated. Another delusional B grade restaurant.

Mouth-watering burgers await. I imagine the chef named the restaurant "The Wolf" because they can picture a herd of wolves drooling from the irresistible smell of the burgers.
Before devouring my burger here, I thought I knew where to find the best burgers in town—NOPA and Wayfare Tavern. Boy, was I wrong. Neither comes close to what The Wolf delivers.
Try it for yourself. In the meantime, I’m ordering my second one.
Other noteworthy dishes include the Za'atar Butter Naan, served with the most delicious babaganoush you’ll ever taste, and the Spanish Octopus—crispy on the outside, soft, buttery, and tender on the inside.

I came here with my extended family after we experienced a death in the family earlier that day. From the moment we arrived, Dan, our waiter, and the entire staff at The Wolf (I wish I knew the hostess' name, she was so amazing too) took incredible care of us. I arrived a little late, and all 7 of us arrived at different times coming from different places, but they took that in stride. They were so attentive, so kind, so caring, I truly haven't ever had an experience like it.
We were there for 3+ hours and Dan never asked us to leave, even though he definitely could have turned the table and made more tips. I'm saying all of this before I even mention the food, which was outstanding and soul nourishing. I feel truly lucky that we ended up at this restaurant, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness and outstanding service, you truly helped us begin to heal. ❤️
