I ordered a mocha, it has a unique taste, not too sweet, nice balance between chocolate and coffee. Staff were nice nothing stands out. I didn't like the vibe.. seating wise, there's nothing special about this place. No reason to come back again to visit. I wouldn't come back again for the mocha or the location itself. Not a good place to work on laptop, no wifi and no outlets.

if u are so timeless then why do you only have chocolate croissants on the weekend??
on the weekend everyone has time to make desserts at home. on weekdays everyone has to go to work and they have no time
all vegan bakery gets all stars.
quality and selection are beyond any other I have been exposed to.
my favorites: pizza and pesto roll, almond croissant, blueberry cheese pastry. the cinnamon bars are not as complex a flavor, but are tasty and huge! they also have cakes, chocolates, pre-made sandwiches, and parfait. and gourmet coffee.

Comfortable seating, great customer service. Mel is the best barista giving the best recommendations you can see she enjoys her job.

i got what i thought was a seemingly bland vegan turkey, bacon, and cheese sandwich and it turned out to be one of my favorite things ever. it brought me back to simpler times. i loved it!

One of the best coffee chains in Oakland (imo)!! I love their iced lattes—the most robust and complex flavors I’ve had from medium roast beans and I don’t even usually drink iced lattes. The best part is everything is roasted in Oakland (❤️ local) and all their pastries are VEGAN (but don’t let that distract you from how good they are).
Butttt the matcha is just ok fyi and I’m ok with that

My go-to spot to meet friends. Beautiful cafe with nice natural lighting and clean restroom. Good amount of seating, epic pastry selection.

Nifty coffee shop. Lots of vegan baked goods.
The best vegan pastries I've had. You wouldn't be able to tell they are vegan. The apple danish was delicious.
The coffee is solid for specialty coffee; they roast their own beans at their Piedmont Avenue location

Pretty place. Love the snacks and sweets there
The atmosphere is calm and friendly
Nice atmosphere, clean accommodations. The apple walnut tea cake and the birthday cake were both very good and moist, but the lack of honey, butter, and jam was slightly disappointing.
Sadly, I can’t start my morning like this anymore. I’ve left, most times, feeling confused and even sad at the way I’m treated. I smile, I say hello, I tip. I stopped asking “how are you today” because that seems to annoy them. It matters not. Most of the employees there seem so put off by customers that don’t visually match their vibe or run in the same scene-not sure why obviously. I love the pastries, coffee, and sandwiches but I hate the way the service makes me feel. I don’t need a standing ovation for walking in but not being scowled, inaudibly mumbled, or blankly stared at would be nice.
I’m a bartender so I know what crappy customers are like. Im not one. I’m literally just ✨existing✨ to get treated like I’ve got poop smeared on my forehead.
Back to Bicycle, where there are no yummy sandwiches but the people are kind. Protecting my peace. ✌️
It soon became one of my favorite Cafes in Oakland. They roast the coffee beans in the shop, offering very good coffee. There is also a big selection of pastries and cakes. The staff is very friendly.
I stopped here cause I was craving some caffeine. When I walked inside I saw beautiful pastries and danishes and options out of this world.
